Great hot tub which was welcome after a day wandering round Alton Towers. Very close to Alton Towers and 5 mins from supermarkets.

The cottage is very close to the A522 road, and it was very busy and very noisy

Ease of finding the property

Next to a main road. Few items in a state of disrepair.; One of the kids cut their foot on the bin where there was meant to be a pedal bit instead just a metal rod.

Hot tub was great. Property was clean

Road noise but that can’t be helped it’s a trade off for the location.

The house was lovely clean and well presented.

Quite time from 9 pm i think quite time should be from 10....11.

The hot tub and outdoor space was exceptional. There has been a lot of thought into what you would need when staying away from home.

The biggest issue was the tone and frequency of communication around the house rules. These were sent multiple times before and during our stay, via email, form submissions, and text messages (even late in the evening). Although I understand and support the need for rules to protect the property and maintain respectful behaviour, the language used felt overly strict and, at times, quite passive-aggressive. Rewording the communications in a more welcoming and balanced tone would make a big difference. We received reminders at 9pm about quiet hours and hot tub rules, along with repeated mentions of £150 fines. The emphasis on penalties and surveillance created an atmosphere of pressure, rather than relaxation. In terms of the property itself, it is pretty but somewhat dated. We noticed: • Mould in the bathroom • Shower water running along the exterior steps • Internal stairs that felt unstable • Cobwebs in most corners • A broken kitchen bin and cracked floor tiles • No parasol provided, despite reminders about the cost of breaking it Given how strict the rules were and the expectation for guests to leave everything immaculate, I expected the property to be pristine on arrival.

Location is perfect for Alton Towers. House is cute, very charming, and lovely view with large, lovely hottub. Plenty of parking and easy to enter the house with the code. Kitchen and bathroom are well equipped and very nice. Beds were comfortable and there's a lot of room for sleeping (two couches plus the 2 bedrooms). The decor in the house is very nice as well and can tell it's well thought out.

Too many texts from the hosts (6 - including one directly at 9PM to "remind" me of the quiet hours rules). Yet, they didn't reply to my 2 messages asking about the CCTV location. Note there is only CCTV on the patio. I didn't end up using the patio or hottub, as I didn't want the hosts watching me (however my son and his friend made great use of and loved it). I understand they've likely had lots of issues at the house and feel the need to protect the property but this is creepy. Had I not been a last minute booking, I wouldn't have chosen this house due to the CCTV. I expect a certain amount of privacy and feel there are other avenues the host can pursue if we were to damage something. Other items to note: one step was broken making the stairs a bit unsteady to climb. No fans in the house so windows had to be open at night to sleep (summer time so hot), which then was very difficult as the road is VERY noisy all night with traffic. (Ear plugs provided but didn't really help us.) The road from the house is also very difficult to turn out of. My husband nearly got hit trying to get out, as there is a blind corner and people are flying down this road (50-60 easy). He wasn't hit but definitely was beeped and cursed out by the other driver. After that, we went out to through the village, which is longer but far less difficult and dangerous.

Very good property nice and clean and everything I like it

I didn’t like this property only one issue this house is near Road so to much vehicle noice 99% noise so you you can’t sleep good .
