The communication with the host was excellent.... parking directly outside the door and only a few streets away from the centre

Great location, plenty of space.

Needs some general maintenance and cleaning of the appliances. Upstairs toilet didn’t flush properly.

We had an enjoyable stay overall. The property is in an excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from York city centre, making it ideal for exploring the city. The house provided plenty of space for our group, with three good-sized bedrooms and an attic room, and the beds were comfortable. The host was very responsive and provided clear instructions before arrival, including helpful information about the hot water system. We also felt the property offered good value for money for a weekend stay.

The main area for improvement is cleanliness and general maintenance. On arrival, the property did not appear to have been cleaned to a high standard. There was visible dirt on the stairs, smeared mirrors, a dirt ring in the bath, dust on the bathroom radiator, and marks on the kitchen cupboards. We also found that the toilet seats in both bathrooms were loose, a bedroom blind was broken, and there were noticeable marks on the wall in the front room.

Location was great so close to everything but in a very quiet area. Fell in love with Bishy Road. York is an amazing city and surrounding area. Good to have a convenient and comfortable place to stay.

Fikk ikke åpnet vinduene på 2 av soverommene. Ødelagte hengsler på toalettsetene. Manglet lyspærer i mange lamper. Liten vannlekkasje fra takvindu i spisestua. Generelt renhold/vedlikehold kunne vært bedre. Skittent kjøleskap, bord, nattbord. Ødelagt stol i soverom 1. etg. Toalett i bakgård bør ikke kalles bad (ingen varme eller speil).

Perfect location. Very comfortable and lots of room. Suited us perfectly. Plenty of tea and coffee etc provided. Enjoyed our stay greatly.

Lovely House, with lots of charm and character. Beds are very comfortable, the house is very clean and tidy, you get everything you need for your stay. Car parking was not an issue, just speak to the host and she will help. I would definitely stay here again There is a lovely little outside space, with seats and a table. Outside also has a nicely decorated outside toilet with basin. Its very close to the city center, just a few mins walk. There is alittle lamp on the landing to use at night time, so lighting was not an issue. Bathrooms not an issue, and we had a group of 2 women and 5 men. Some of the reviews people have left with negative comments we did not understand and seem really unfair to the host. If you are looking for a nice space, close to the city, with lovely charm then you should stay here. We had a very comfortable stay, the host is lovely and is very good at communicating and helping.
