"An enjoyable stay"

Quietness

Two points. 1. We were not aware of outside steps to first floor entrance. We both suffer from poor knee condition (Linda had one knee replaced last year and the other was imminent. 2. The three piece sweet - although in good condition was not comfortable to relax in.

Beautiful cottage by a stream, perfect for a summer holiday retreat away. Devon is a lovely place to visit and this property was ideal.

The road getting to the property is a little steep and narrow, but after doing it once you get used to it.

"Beautiful rural retreat."

Location was idyllic. I never thought you could be so far away from it all in England. The cottage was very comfortable and was perfect for our family group. The hosts were as charming as the accommodation!

Don't bring too big a car. Devon country lanes can be scary!

Watermill Cottages is a really unique place, in a secluded wooded valley next to a beautiful stream. Perfect for a relaxing break. We spotted grey wagtails by the water. We stayed in Crownwheel Cottage. It’s spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with a private garden of its own. There are more extensive gardens and woods to explore alongside the stream. The electric car charger onsite was a bonus. The beach is a short drive away. Gill and Iain were friendly and helpful if we needed anything. A great place to bring a dog.
