Host, location, size and design

Spacious, light and airy living accommodation. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable lounge area and bedroom. Well situated for market, shops and restaurants. Train station is about 15 minutes walk or a short taxi drive away so convenient for onward travel to the Cinque Terre or other places. An excellent host who maintained contact with us at all times and provided us with lots of advice and information about La Spezia and its surroundings.

A minor point but although there was plenty of drawer space in the bedroom there was nowhere to hang larger items of clothing.

The noise in the street and the noisy neighbors

The property is conveniently located between the ferry pier and the train station, with restaurants and markets nearby. The apartment is spacious, clean and tastefully decorated with a fully equipped kitchen and nearly everything we needed. It feels like a home away from home and is the most comfortable accommodation we have had in our 10-day trip to northern Italy. Above all the host Massimo is most friendly and welcoming, giving us useful advices on restaurants and places of interest to visit. He even helped us book the restaurant for lunch upon our arrival and checked for us if the Cinque Terre ferry was sailing in the inclement weather! We will not hesitate to stay here again in our next visit to this part of Italy.

Some noise on the street in the evening but that didn’t affect the quality of our sleep.

Great apartment. Very clean and spacious

We had an exceptional stay in La Spezia, and our host - Massimo made it even more memorable. Not only did he provide fantastic tips about the area and great places to eat, but the apartment itself was incredibly spacious, clean, and well-equipped. It never felt cramped, and the thoughtful addition of coffees was a nice touch. What truly sets this experience apart is how Massimo went above and beyond to take care of us. He booked two taxis—one for us and another for our extended family who stayed nearby—to the train station. When we unexpectedly got stranded in Salzana due to train suspensions, our host went out of his way to arrange a private transfer all the way to Florence. We feel incredibly grateful and blessed to have had such a dedicated and thoughtful host who ensured our well-being from start to finish. A perfect stay in every sense! Best Apartment, amazing host!

Massimo, you’re the best, you made our road trip amazing! Massimo hosted us an incredible apartment in the centre of La Spezia for 5 nights. As a host, he’s the best and couldn’t do enough for you. Friendly, on call and incredibly knowledgable about the area, always on hand for advice on restaurants, touring the area and best practice for sightseeing. The apartment itself was in a great central location, close to nightlife, shopping, morning cafes and gelatos to die for. Please note central location, there is noise at night which dies out eventually, take ear plugs or drink loads of wine, either works, the morning cafe clinking and chatting and general town life make up for it as you’re looking out over the balcony with a coffee, and then you go and get more coffee with a pastry, you just have to! The apartment is very clean and comfortable, well furnished and decorated with great kitchen facilities, there is also a small room for hanging clothes and storing cases etc which we didn’t see on the pics. I would definitely recommend to stay here in La Spezia. Thanks Massimo

About the apartment and host nothing at all. La Spezia itself has a huge parking problem. There isn’t enough. We were on a road trip and with Massimo’s guidance we were guided to a short stay parking space to unload a few minutes walk from the apartment, then he advised on a long stay about 15 minutes walk away. If driving do let Massimo know so he can prepare you these instructions.

Massimo was great! The apartment was beautiful and super clean. The location was perfect, close to everything including the marina.
