Stable Cottage - Sleeps 6, near Lulworth Cove

We loved the character of stable cottage and its unique rural location.

Phillip was a wonderful host and made us feel incredibly welcome. The cottage had everything we could have asked for plus more ! So many nice little touches. Ideal location for exploring the Jurassic Coast. Lulworth cove is only a short drive away.

The charm of a traditional cottage within walking distance of the Jurassic Coast. The apple cake was a very hospitable start thank you. The hot tub was great for sore legs after walking. Great nearby pub

Parking for two cars was tight; local residents objected to any temporary parking outside their houses until a space became available.

Very cosy & warm . Close to some lovely walks with a very nice pub serving beautiful food

The Dorset cake on arrival was a lovely touch. Key collection easy. Walking distance to pub was great which was excellent. Lovely old cottage with great features including a great fire. Very comfortable beds. If we went back to this area we would stay again. Nearby walks were amazing.

Parking for more than 1 larger car needs consideration we all felt it needs a deep good clean, dust and cobwebs. And items of clothing left behind from other guests!! The t shirt was dusty so been there a little while!! Balloons, in various states of deflation, found under front room table and some baking trays for oven would be a welcome touch.

Character of the property and history of the area. Eclectic interior. Location - access to walks and nearby places of interest plus Weymouth, Dorchester and Corfe. Quirky 3rd bedroom. Kitchen equipped well. Fabulous local pub. Oodles of hot water, much needed after long hikes. Lovely, comfortable beds with variable configurations given before arrival. Clean and fresh linen. Dorset apple cake on arrival - yummy.

This is based on our experience and in what we have experienced elsewhere and are small things that did not spoil our overall experience but might enhance others' if considered. There is no designated clothes storage in one bedroom. A small thing that would have made a big difference for less agile folk in our party - an extension lead to allow overnight phone charging made easier in the smaller bedroom. The info re the log burner could be more helpful - what position is'open' and 'closed' for example? We were so worried about the thatch and had to try by trial and error Likewise info on the hifi equipment. A reluctance to randomly press buttons on the remotes being our dilemma. It would have been useful to have kitchen roll, cling film and an extra T towel. The windows could do with a clean - our party included someone who does clean properties for airbnb clients so they had very high standards. A torch would be useful in case phone torches not available. The pub is easy to walk to but in the dark it could be a useful extra.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful 🤩.We had a lovely stay. The rooms were spacious, the beds were huge and comfortable and the kitchen was everything you would expect from a cottage kitchen.

Lovely old cottage and lovely location. Philip the host was good with responding to questions and was very kind to leave a local apple cake in the kitchen.

The cottage is lovely but it’s not clean. We selected the property because of its high rating for cleanliness but it was not. So disappointing.
