Pine Tree House with Hot tub & Sauna

Disastrous. Did not get the accommodation I booked and informed the night before my stay. Offered another pod with no sauna at the same cost (they’d already taken my money). The place was filthy, tired and unloved. Under the bed there was an accumulation of socks and rubbish, the shower door was hanging off and the kettle didn’t work. Further to my frustration, I requested an invoice multiple times and fobbed off that a manager will organise and nothing for over a month now.

I liked the location,the hot tub and sauna. I liked that you could see the stars of an evening.

No mention of a steep incline to get to the property, this should be mentioned before booking for others with health issues/ disabilities. The cabin fire place/heater does not/ not strong enough to heat up the cabin so we were really cold the entire stay. The bathroom had lots of old stains & overall looked unclean especially the shower - which had NO hot water. The blinds in the cabin have black mould spots on them. No firelighters were left in property upon arrival so had to do the steep walk to the barn to find some and back.

Lovely idea in rural location.

No hot water in shower like stated and no gas in stove for us to have cup of tea or coffee in thw morning.

The location is amazing. So beautiful and peaceful. The hot tub and sauna were brilliant additions for a relaxing stay. Video instructions on how to find it and how to get the fires going were very useful.

The log burner in the cabin was quite small for the size of the cabin. It didn't really warm the room and was tricky to get a good blaze going.

Lovely, private location. Easy to find if you watch the video instructions that are sent to you. Amazing views from the treehouse, even better if the weather is on your side. Great for stargazing at night. The sauna&hot tub is a lovely touch with a great relaxing atmosphere. Very clean accommodation with clean and comfortable bed. The climb is very steep in car and on foot.

The heating source for the treehouse is a log burner which is great if you want to stay up all night tending to the fire so you're not freezing in the morning. We didnt sleep great due to it being so cold (we could see our breath!) and I didnt like the idea of having the fire burning all night. Would be nice to have a back up heating source for the winter months. Do not pay for the pre - heating service for the hot tub, we were really disappointed in the service for this. When we arrived around 3pm the hot tub had been lit to warm up but had gone out and was smouldering when we got there, the water to the hot tub was freezing. With a pre heating service I expect to be able to get into it shortly after arriving. We re -lit the hot tub, topping up with logs etc and it was only just warmish around 8pm (5 hours after we arrived!) Not enough firelighters provided and no extras in the barn down the hill. I probably wouldnt come back here in the winter months I am sure it would be much more enjoyable in the summer.
