Penthouse Noir - Wyndale Living - Central BHam 2BR

Firstly I would like to say that the property have addressed the many issues I had, the management company were very good and answered my questions, complaints and queries promptly. However I feel a fair review is only appropriate for other travellers, I do not want them to think however that this is acceptable. What did I like - the location is amazing for a city centre break, the outside space - this is large and private

Okay - I will be fair and honest - the apartment was not ready on arrival even though early check in was paid for. - Finding the apartment was a nightmare, the access road was closed and has been for a long time. The owners/management company did not tell us before hand how to get to the apartment. - The entrance hall and stair way stank, the aroma was so bad my daughter would retch every time she entered the area. The bin store is located just inside and has no ventilation. - Lifts - only one works and the weight system doesn't work so you cannot have more than two people in the lift and cannot include bags. - The "penthouse" is actually on the 6th floor not the top pf the building - When we got into the apartment the cleaners were leaving but what they had cleaned I couldn't tell anyone. Carpets stained and dirty, cigarettes in ash trays, walls marked, outside was dirty and uncleaned, the snooker table was filthy and covered in party confetti. The oven was dirty and uncleaned. Sinks were unclean. - There was no hot water in the main bathroom through out our whole stay. - The door to the apartment although did lock felt unsafe - The beds although double were the smallest double beds I have ever seen. - The sofa was covered in white stains! - No windows open in the apartment other than the main door and a door that leads to the balcony. - A hot tub exists on the balcony but is not working/being used - move it!! debris all around it included broken plastic cups, straws, paper and just dirt. - windows - these haven't been cleaned for months both inside and out - Freezer - this was frozen over and couldn't be used -Fridge - this closed but the seal was falling off so did not keep anything cold - Noise - the apartment is located in the city centre so of course you can expect noise but we were not told that every road around the apartments location was being dug up.

The room wasn’t ready at 3pm. We did some shopping and went back to the key locker. The code didn’t work so I had to ring and get another code sent. The lifts were both broken The settee was slightly broken The pool cues were broken

We liked the location , ease of checking in ..the amenities,furniture, the terrace etc .all clean tidy and very nice view .

Nothing, just had the fire alarm several times during the stay ,but it was due to neighbors cooking not to worry about

The location was great and the apartment itself was lovely and great views.

There was a massive water stain on the ceiling in our bedroom and the shower in the master bathroom didn’t work properly. Either scalding hot or freezing cold. Ended up having to use the en-suite.
