The Stable Annexe with hot tub & horses

This hidden gem was everything we were looking for as a little escape weekend, beautiful surroundings, animals & hot tub, what more could you ask for

It wasn’t like anywhere we have ever stayed before. It was very cute, smelled great and the hot tub was lovely. Teresa was welcoming and gave us the full tour. The karaoke machine was very fun, the wreath on the door was a lovely touch, the items available to use for free in the hot tub were a nice touch and the items to use on the stairs.

Between the cushions on the sofa needed a good clean, the tv was very small to see from where the sofa was placed, there were a lot of things to turn on and off and it made me feel quite responsible for the items. Also the prices on items around the rooms was quite jarring with the homely feel of the place. I don’t remember the extra money for bed linen and towels being mentioned when booking and the payment in cash seemed slightly odd. Telling us how much the hot tub had cost felt a little condescending.

Absolutely everything! It was just so perfect and magical, completely blown away how lovely our stay was. The animals are all friendly and the ponies right outside our door made my stay complete! Our host is one of the most genuinely kind person you will come across and she went above and beyond for us, we really could not have asked for more but more just kept coming. Chopped up carrots so I could feed the pony's, little trust bags for everyone else. So beautifully clean everywhere, the rains shower was lovely and hot and the room so warm. The hot tub at a beautiful temperature and clean and very looked after 🙏 plenty of heating in the annex and it was so cosy and cute. Breakfast was good and I'm super pleased I requested it, I really can't wait togo back.

Spent 3 nights here it was great the room & grounds are lovely, the animals & hot tub are awesome. The host is friendly & makes good home cooked food. Would 100% recommend

We loved every moment

We had a lovely stay at the stable annexe. The annexe itself was cosy and clean and lovingly decorated. The hottub was fantastic, the fire pit was great, and the highlight was meeting all the animals. From the dog to the geese and the chickens, pigs and ponies in between, they really added something different and special. Breakfast was very tasty too. Teresa has created a very special place and we would definitely recommend it.

Nothing we didn't like.

Quirky. If you like animals and jet fighters, this is the place for you. I think it would be particularly suitable for someone with a well-behaved child as there are lovely animals you can walk around and pet, all friendly! The owner greets you on arrival with very specific instructions on how to use everything; from parking to lighting. The hot tub has jacuzzi style jets and is very comfortable. There's lots of "mood" lighting around should you choose to use it, and a lot of little optional extras for sale. It's obvious that the owner (who was sweet enough to hang up a birthday banner for me) has poured her heart and soul into this place, and her reviews are very important to her, (understandably as there's a huge holiday park nearby.)

As my partner is 6 foot tall there was a fair bit of bumping of his head but that can't be helped. Personally I didn't find the sound of the planes during the day very relaxing but he absolutely LOVED it- just something to keep in mind.
