Alam B&B Luxor

Very good staff, well located and everything clean.

Staff was very friendly, we communicated with google, hands and feet. As it is a BnB, the shower and toilet is communal, for me that was absolutely no problem as it was clean and finally we had good water pressure. Big rooms, cute balcony, would recommend for the frugal traveller.

Rooms were really big, but the beds not very comfortable and the windows don't isolate well, so you hear absolutely everything outside.

The team is amazing and gives you a warm welcome. The owner organizes for us a hot air balloon tour and It was just perfect. He made everything he could to make it happen even if timing was short ! The B&B is central and the view from the balcony is nice. The room is big enough.

The noise !! It’s super noisy , we had the feeling to be litterally outside on the street. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillow too… making it hard to sleep. Finally, the bathroom is right next to the kitchen, so privacy is difficult to find.

Bathroom was clean and staff were as friendly as possible with the amount of English they could speak. If you’re looking for something cheap and not worried about condition or comfort this would be fine but you could find better for similar price. We ended up booking another hotel as we didn’t feel comfortable staying here.

Property was old and run down.Beds were old mattresses on pallets and rooms had no furnishings. Rooms had no noise cancelling so you heard all the noise from outside so not suitable for a light sleepers. We ended up checking into another hotel due to the condition being so poor. Staff were friendly but not at all dressed to be the face of a business.

Lots of stairs (no elevator)

Dina and her family were sooo accommodating, they made our stay in Luxor even better! The rooms were large and spacious and with ample social shared spaces! Looking forward to coming again!

We booked both rooms, so had the whole apartment to ourselves. The whole ambience was fantastic. Very clean, great location to the Nile river. Beautiful balcony over looking the Sphinix street. Breakfast was freshly prepared for us each morning. We would definitely return and recommend to other travellers.

If you are a light sleeper, ear plugs maybe a good idea as sometimes the traffic noise could disturb you. Would not stop me from returning though 👍

Room was big

Didn’t have a bathroom. You can find much cheaper lodging that is similar in quality. Hotel appears to be run by 14 year olds (literally, that appeared to be their age) who don’t speak English

Good location with easy access to the major sights. The young lady staff Dina and Sarah really made a big effort to make you feel comfortable. and they made an exellent breakfast served on the balcony with a view.

The bathroom was shared and the place is somewhat rundown. The location is noisy, but that is probably the case for all Luxor downtown resiodences.

Size of the rooms was nice

The mattresses were very bad. Several balcony doors and windows didn’t close. Very noisy at night!!!!
