8 Water Street

The flat itself was lovely. Big living/kitchen area. Bed was comfortable and nice bathroom. All very clean. Lady who met me was very friendly and welcoming.

The arrival process was not ideal. No response to my messages until the morning of arrival. Phone number kept ringing off. On arrival at address not clear what to do but staff member appeared very quickly and let me in as they knew my arrival time. Have to download an app to unlock the door. 4g a bit hit and miss so somerimes it took a while to connect and unlock which is quite disconcerting especially as a solo traveller.Instructions supposed to be emailed in advance but never received by me.

This was a very reasonably priced accommodation but there’s a reason. Parking onsite was good.

Communication was difficult. When we arrived I had to call them 3 times to sort things out. The staff did not provide standard information like where to park or how to return the key. The apartment is in a commercial building with other businesses. It’s quite strange. It appears that the apartment we were in (there are two, I believe) has been an office and has been converted. The heating was an element heater (we did not use it), we could not find a wi-fi router, or see any smoke detectors (they may have been there). Terrible pillows and towels. No shower products (body wash, shampoo etc).

Location was ideal for what we needed

Extremely dirty shower that wouldn’t drain due to mass of dirt and hair clogging up the drain. There was only one towel and no shower mat to put down

The location was ideal for being in city centre Liverpool and for the waterfront. The room was spacious and had all the basics needed for a stay.

Ease of getting into the property to begin with. I am not sure if it is a booking.com issue or what some hosts do, but there is a drowning of information, which means you can miss something from a message sent via the site such as how to get into your location or who to contact, as it is offering you extras for your stay like car hire or places to visit.

Staff were friendly, mattresses were comfortable. Big TV with lots of choice.

Nobody was at the reception to greet us, the doors are locked to get in. Was eventually greeted and told to wait in the reception area. Then was told it was because they had a late checkout and was still cleaning the room. Eventually given the all clear to go to our room, the staff said that the bedding for the double bed was in the wash but as we were heading out, it would be sorted by the time we got back to the apartment later. Floors had been mopped but rushed, there was hairs everywhere. Mould round the windows. The small single beds hadn't been stripped and washed, these were filthy. Less than 1/4 of a roll of toilet roll for us to use. We left to go out, came back at night and nothing had been sorted in the room as promised. Not told about a WiFi password or anything. My friend had to sleep in the double bed with no bedding, and I had to sleep on top of one duvet on the single bed with the other duvet over me as I wasn't prepared to sleep on the dirty sheet. There was nobody ever around to speak to about anything. Next morning, had a shower, this was okay but it wouldn't change temperature. We left the room to check out, again nobody around so we posted the keys and left a message to say we had left. Other than this, staff were friendly enough, just not around to ask them about anything. Would be lovely if clean.

Същото ми беше необходимо, поради дълго и изморително пътуване, и пристигане рано сутринта в града и именно поради тази причина се спрях точно на това място. Останах крайно разочарован като разбрах, че въобще не предлагат ранно настаняване и се наложи да чакам до 3 pm
