Water Front APT Walk to the Beach & City Centre

The location is good.

Unfortunately there were a number of issues. The apartment wasn’t clean, poorly kept and generally is not what you expect given the pictures. The owner was accessible and did give an £88 refund (4 night stay so this was less than 1 night) but we had to continue to stay as there was nothing else available in the area.

Very spacious apartment, convenient and quiet location. Nice touches included a coffee machine with a supply of pods, some dishwasher tablets, soaps and spare toilet rolls - those small things you don't always find in a rental property.

We loved the general layout of the apartment, very spacious.

The beds are awful, I ended up sleeping sat up on the sofa because the mattresses were so uncomfortable. Even my 8 year old struggled to sleep.

Location

This is the first time I’ve ever given negative feedback. Unfortunately, my experience at this place was disappointing. The owner is not responsive at all. We had difficulties finding the key box and messaged the owner for assistance. Instead of providing helpful information, the owner simply copied and pasted an old message that did not address our issue. The actual location of the key box is about 100 meters from the apartment, which was challenging to navigate with our luggage. The room had a very strong smell of dogs. The owner didn’t do anything to help improve the smell. Thus we had to solve the problem ourselves. Despite using air fresheners and opening all the windows, the odor persisted and even worsened each morning. I love dogs, but I suffer from severe allergies to pets. When I book stays, I specifically check for pet-friendly accommodations to ensure my safety regarding allergies. Unfortunately, I had to buy allergy pills to take every 4-6 hours to prevent my asthma from being triggered. Furthermore, the cleanliness was unacceptable. Every towel we received had some black dirt on it. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
