Light House View Inn - Galle Fort

The location is good, close to the major tourists spots.

It was the worst stay I had through Booking.com. In short, the host was a nightmare. During the stay, she did all kinds of rude things a host could do to guests. Upon our arrival, she attempted to accommodate us in a one-bedroom loft despite our reservation for a two-bedroom apartment. Essentially, the facility is a section of their own apartment, divided by a door, featuring two bedrooms and a dining area. When we asserted our booking for the two-bedroom apartment, she allowed us to use the second bedroom. I realized this was the same issue that had previously disappointed other guests regarding the number of bedrooms. ②The kitchen has been utilized by the host, with various foods inside the fridge and on the table. It is necessary to specify in advance if the kitchen space is shared. ③The worst part was that she requested us to allow her to cancel the reservation as ' no show' through Booking.com and pay her directly in cash, so she could avoid the platform's fees. Unbelievable!! I also host in my own country and understand how hosts feel. However, we should never cheat the platform in this way. We were quite upset and refused. Then, unexpectedly, she altered her approach and pleaded with us not to leave a review,a nd asked us to pay back some money.. Never!! She continued to send numerous messages even after we left, which dampened our trip experience. Moreover, she bombarded our driver with messages and calls, pressuring him to convince us. Our driver was really disappointed to see these. (She knew the number as the driver made a phone call to find the place to park on the first night of our stay) We are quite disappointed with the payment process and other aspects of our stay. I was really looking forward to enjoying our vacation with a friend who lives abroad, especially since this is our first trip after the COVID years. I felt very sorry to my friend booking this place.

I had a very peaceful and calm stay at Light House View Inn and it went well as i expected. Easy access to fort and was able to walk around anywhere at any time. Owners were very nice towards us and friendly too, they were flexible with our requirements. Great value for money 😊.

Highly recommend this place. Very central to Galle fort but also quiet for those looking to relax. Run by friendly family who look after your needs. Host has lots of great recommendations for things to do in Galle and places to eat. Host is also very helpful if you need to book anything (transport, activities etc). Clean rooms with comfortable beds, fan, air conditioning, hot water and a fridge shared between guests. Excellent balcony with a direct view of Galle lighthouse. The balcony has given me many cozy mornings and evenings.

It was a very nice stay in light house view inn, the host were very attentive towards our needs and they arranged a tour in galle so we can explore whole galle area the view was amazing i will definietly go there again

The light house view inn was amazing there service was up to standard and the amenities they gave was very nice, i recommend here to everyone who likes to experience luxury at a budget

The location is great

The facilities were very basic, with only one small bar of soap for the bathroom (no shampoo or anything else). The curtains were so thin it was impossible not to be woken up at night. We left one night early because it was so disappointing.

Superb service, staff is amazing actually when i check out the place i forgot my wallet and passport worth about 5000 dollars they were really nice to bring my wallet to my location even it was 100km away, there are real nice human beings who are not greedy for money i recommend here if you want to have a nice service and nice stay

Lovely hotel rooms, great shower. Very attentive staff. Location cant find better, less than 1 minute from the lighthouse and fort walls. Great value for money, would definitely recommend, thanks for the complimentary gifts host irfiya

it was a beautiful vacation stay at light house view inn, the host irifiya were there to attend us in any moment so we have the fullest enjoyment in our trip i actually take my time writing a 5 star review to thank them, will come to ur place again sure
