Quiet 3 bedroom house 2 min walk from UNESCO shrines

The host Ian was extremely helpful in all respects and very kindly met us at the train station and then took us to the supermarket almost opposite - and waited until we had purchased what we needed - and then drove us to the house which made it so much easier on arrival.

This property is so incredibly tranquil! Very roomy and comfortable! The house was perfect for our multi-generational group, with one bedroom and bath on the ground floor, and the location was perfect for in-depth exploration of the world heritage sites. Ian is such a welcoming host! From arranging transportation and helping with dinner reservations, to giving recommendations on what to do with the time we had, he made our 2-night stay wonderful! Highly recommend!

The place is phenomenal - located just a few minutes’ walk from Nikko Toshogu shrine and offers a peaceful stay in a beautiful setting. The house is spotless and has everything you might need. The host Ian is amazing, picked us up at the train station and dropped us back on our departure day. I truly wish we stayed there 1-2 night longer just to properly appreciate the peace and quiet around. Will certainly come back. Thanks Ian!!

This residence is exceptional! We were very lucky to find this gem. I had to make late accommodation changes for our stay in Nikko and Ian the host was incredibly helpful. We held our wedding in Nikko and Ian went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and seamless as possible. We needed a steamer for our wedding garments (and didn't want to pay to hire one) and Ian graciously provided one for us to use. We had photographers and stylists come to the property and this was no problem. The house itself is stunning, all lovingly restored with wooden interior and modern amenities. It had the best sink we've ever seen. It's within the UNESCO shrine complex and is a stone's throw away from amazing sights. Ian is fluent in Japanese and English and has a deep understanding of the history of the area. He is the perfect host and even allowed us to take a walk with him and his dog. Any question or concern we had Ian addressed, helped and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful residence and we will definitely be coming back! World class stay, world class host. You don't want to pass up this opportunity to stay in such a perfect place! Thank you again Ian!! A + P

That we couldn't stay longer!

This is a wonderful accommodation. It is very spacious and clean. And has all the amenities and household items and instructions that is so thoughtfully provided. The temperature had dropped on the day we arrived but then the weather warmed up significantly the next day. The whole house has both cool air-conditioning and heaters. The rooms even had heated blankets ! The private garden is magical and tranquil. It is nestled on a hilltop that has been designated a world heritage site. It was only 5 mins walk to the famous Toshugu Shrine (a world heritage site), to great restaurants, and also 7 mins downhill trek to the Shinkyo bridge and start of town centre. Thank you for the privilege to staying here.

Our family of 4 adults enjoyed very much our 2-night stay. Ian made us feel welcomed from time of booking until drop off at train station. He gave recommendations and helped with reservations for dinner. House was beautifully and practically set up. Location was perfect, walking distance to the shrines and close to the bus stop

Host was very helpful, friendly and communication was excellent. The home is exceptional. Stunning location, beautiful home, immaculately kept with lots of character and in keeping with the area in which it is located.
