The Garden Square - Unique luxury apartment in historic garden square - ideal for 2 people

The apartment was high spec in cleanliness and also beautiful decor, set in a lovely location. All amenities were available and thought through. This was very much appreciated and made our stay stress free and we all could relax. Parking was accessible earlier than check in this allowed us to leave our vehicle and head into the City, which was an easy 20 minute walk. I found this a very accommodating touch to our stay. The owners were very friendly and communication was excellent leading up to and throughout our stay. I stayed at this location with my close friend and my wife to see The York Christmas Markets, we would all happily visit again. Superb.

Homely, cosy, comfortable, very well equipped characterful apartment within walking distance to York center and train station. Everything you need plus lots of lovely treats to make your stay extra special. Highly recommend.

Everything just perfect, the bathroom very clean and big. the kitchen is quite tiny but not a problem at all. as Everything is already provided, like bread, All kind of jams, porridge, coffee, tea. Bed is comfy as well. very very recommended. the owner is very helpful and friendly.

Lovely cosy basement flat with great shower and plenty of room in lounge and bedroom. Kitchen was very sweet behind cupboard doors and Eleanor had added some great extra touches, and breakfast items were a fab addition too.. Great location for walking into town and train station.

Just to say that kitchen ok for 2 people but not much worktop room to cook etc. Phaps a couple more shelves to take stuff off counter ? Just an idea.

This apartment is absolutely beautiful. It is exactly what you see in the pictures. So cosy and homely. So clean and there was just everything you could ever imagine, possibly needing all beautiful presented.

Absolutely nothing. It was fabulous

The apartment was in a good location just a short walk from the train station and a short walk into town. The hosts had considered everything and provided a great selection of food and drinks so we could make our own breakfast. We would definitely recommend The Garden Square!

Superb basement flat, cosy and nicely decorated with a pretty little outdoor seating area. Loved the fresh flowers in the lounge and bedroom. Very comfy bed and an easy to install, big, comfortable sofa bed. Loads of personal touches, many more than any place I've ever stayed. Umbrellas, sewing kit, nail files, cotton pads, the list goes on and on! Along with tea, coffee, milk, including decaffeinated, muesli, bread, butter etc, etc. About a half hour walk into the centre, 20 mins from station. But all the city centre buses pass the station. The 1, 5 and 5a drop close to the Minster and others go to the centre. Would definitely stay again.

The flat is ingeniously laid out and there is everything you need for cooking and eating. But the kitchen is so tiny, cooking for 4 would be a challenge as there's hardly any worktop space. But if you want to eat in, do as we did...heat up a M&S take away!!
