7c villa and winery

The rooms are great, really beautiful and spacious. Everything in the room, from the cutlery to the slippers is luxurious. The garden is gorgeous and the outside bath is also very nice. As a villa I think it works great. Also, the service was impeccable (but this is a given in most Japanese accommodations).

This was my most disappointing stay in Japan. There is nothing inherently bad but I found it was missing a lot of things for the price tag. 1) If you are coming for a wine experience, you will be disappointed. There is no guided tasting experience, the tours are mostly done in Japanese and they are small, the pairing for the food felt very "meh", and there isn't anything in the rooms or common areas that speak about the wine, or the winery. The welcome drink was tea! I think being a vineyard is what makes this place different from other stays and they are certainly missing a trick. 2) With this price tag I can't believe you have to pay Y6400 to book the sauna for 1.5hrs. It definitely should be included within the stay. 3) The bike rental it is also really expensive and not included, you will find cheaper options outside the hotel. 4) There is no room service for 2 days, which means no new towels, no change of mugs, no replenishment of coffee or tea. If you want a coffee, you literally have to grind the beans yourself with the provided grinder. You likely will make a bit of a mess with it and that won't be cleaned until you leave. 5) The breakfast is ok but not as filling as most hotels. 6) The dinner menu also was disappointing and very rushed. We did the wine pairing and at some point my wife had three glasses waiting to be finished and two meals lined up in the table. The food also was good but definitely not worth the price tag, IMO. (when I say not worth the price tag I mean relatively to other places in the area). I think if you are staying here, think of it more as an AirBnB than a hotel. The bones are great but there is no guest experience. It is a fantastic venue but with a few improvements it could become an unforgettable experience.

Beautiful spacious villas equipped with everything u need, nice staff and great breakfast.

The villas were sleek, modern, and stylish while still feeling cozy and inviting. The scenery outside of the back deck was breathtaking and having our own private onsen was the cherry on top.
