Apart of York - Walmgate

Clean, very well equipped and comfortable. Very helpful owner. Lovely touch of snacks, milk, tea bags etc on arrival.

Boiler was extremely noisy and then stopped working which meant freezing cold showers one morning. However the owner did come over quickly and sort it and left us access to the boiler. It did cut out again, so does need sorting. Maybe provide info on booking site regarding the bathroom not on same floor as the bedrooms and the step up into kitchen and sitting room. This did cause some problems to one member of our party especially using the toilet during the night.

Andrea and Felix have thought of everything needed in a home. Lovely hotel quality linen, big shower, welcome gifts. great restaurants within doors away everyone very friendly and welcoming in York. Masses to do and see. Railway museum (free) and Castle Museum a must to visit. Very good frequent bus services. Christmas market on whilst we visited in November. recommend the Merchant Adventurers Hall for snack food scones homemade and wonderful soups!!

Outstanding apartment. It was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. It had a lovely welcoming pack. It’s in a great location with an easy walk to all the city’s attractions. If we come back to York we would definitely stay here again.

Whats not to like?!

Perfect location for city centre, no traffic noise, very clean and well equipped with some nice welcoming touches from the host. Very large and extremely comfortable bed in spacious bedroom with modern en suite. Lots of restaurants and bars in close proximity aswell .

Would perhaps benefit from a blind in the bathroom but was not a major issue at all.

Location was excellent, being just off Fossgate. The apartment was of a high spec and instructions and guidance was clear for all aspects.

Booking the apartment was straightforward and communication with the host was excellent. There were clear instructions about getting in and once inside, about the facilities. The apartment is very well appointed, with everything you might need for a short stay provided. There were extra special touches like a welcome board, milk, cereal, biscuits, tea and coffee. Everything was spotlessly clean and the decor was excellent too, with York based artwork dotted around. Beds are comfortable with two pillows of different softness provided and there is a handy thermostat to control the heating. Free WiFi is provided. The apartment is well located for exploring the York city centre, about 20 minutes walk from the train station, 15 minutes to the famous Minster and even closer to other attractions like the Jorvik Viking Centre or the York Castle Museum. There are guide books in the house for inspiration.

A small thing - the television is meant to pull out from the corner to sit in front of the sofa, however the cable is not quite long enough. This has in no way affected our stay and we'd be happy to visit again!
