The Mole Resort - Lodges

Lodge was a great space with loads of room for the four of us. Rooms were very comfortable and living space was great. Communal spaces were good with a good games room

Not enough cutlery, plates, bowls etc in lodge Swimming pool was a bit cold Not many activities for U9s

The lodge was absolutely beautiful, stunning view, super modern, very clean and comfortable. The resort is also so well kept, beautiful to walk around and fabulous views over the Devon countryside.

My only criticism is that the shop in the lodge isn’t very well stocked. No baby items available to purchase in an emergency (we had left our wet wipes back at the lodge and our baby needed to be changed quickly whilst in the hub), there were no wet wipes or anything of that nature available to buy in an emergency. There was a Sainsbury’s which was a 15 minute drive away. If you need quick supplies for your lodge you will to drive further afield.

This is our 2nd visit and the lodges are well maintained and great for a quick stop on the trip down to Cornwall. Like the dog park and surrounding areas are really enjoyable

Dog charges for 2 cost us £120 for 3 nights which is nearly over 30%+ what we paid for the accommodation this seems extremely high compared to other places we’ve stayed especially when we received no dog pack like last yr so wouldn’t stay for a week as cost more than a kennel We had a meal in the restaurant on Friday night and to say it was below par is an understatement. Being greeted barely by one of the team carrying lots of dirty dishes as we arrived to be told sorry v busy and trying to do 4 different things could we just stand over there and someone will get to us. Large event going on clearly meant they were under staffed. We waited and then was taken to a table by a lady who seemed quite stressed, they took a drinks order which we didn’t receive until our main course which they apologised for. The same team member who we encountered on the arrival then came over and asked “is anyone actually looking after you”? Almost smirking strangely. So all in all the experience was poor, the food was ok and for 2 people to pay over £100 for that it felt v poor value.
