Casa Maat At JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa

Will forever be my favorite! I love everything about Casa Maat, especially the people! The breakfast is wonderful, the pool treats are very thoughtful, and the dinner courses are amazing! You don’t need to go anywhere, or spend extra food money, if you don’t want to.

Super relaxing stay at Casa Maat ! Luxury hotel with the best staff! Excellent service from the friendly front desk people , check in was a breeze ! Francisco the best Concierge ever ! Our room was always kept clean and the amenities are top notch! Edwardo our dinner server was super ! To the hotel management, Thank for making our trip and my birthday memorable!

This was our first stay at Casa Maat but definitely won’t be our last. We enjoyed this quaint and quiet boutique hotel, but the jewel of our stay was the management and staff. Everyone is always eager to help and assist, with a special shout out to Francisco. He was always available to us and ready to help however we needed.

Let me disclose, this is my 5th trip to Casa Maat, a small section approx. 40 room hotel of the JW Marriot resort complex. Casa Maat is a gated quiet area, with its own pool and hot tub, seating areas with fire pits, amidst the palm trees and private lounge area. What Casa Maat is a quiet resort for middle aged to older ADULTS seeking enjoyable relaxation. Casa Maat is not for babies and kids. There are no kids’ activities, splash pads, playgrounds. People do not enjoy your kids crying, temper tantrums, whining and misbehavior while parents sit idly by and ignore the problem. Turning this to an ADULT only property would be wonderful. So why have I returned so many times? Simple: It’s the people. Most longtime employees, we know by name and they remember us. When I have returned, I am greeted by the same people, who remember me by name. They go out of there way to ask what they can do to make my stay a great experience. It all starts when you are picked up by a staff of butlers who take you to a private check-in area. They show you to your room and happily show you around the property. The pool and service staff are so accommodating and pleasant to be around. The breakfast and afternoon snack service is very good, the 6-8 PM open bar service is included in the room rate. Again, everyone is so nice. However, the only 2 issues I have is they haven’t replaced the ice machines in Casa Maat and the evening meal menu is very bland and needs some tweaking. Coming from the fourth floor back to the lounge, to get a cup of ice is inconvenient. The evening menu varies, night to night, but lacks the variety and culinary experience one would get in a regular restaurant in most upscale SJD establishments. Be advised there really isn’t any permanent kitchen facility there and this is probably the only solution. Just be aware of this. Am told the pool is getting renovated in 2025, which has been needed. The staff here is amazing and they have treated us so well.

Fantastic!! That's what I would call our anniversary stay at Casa Maat. Every single person that we came into contact with gave the best customer service. You also get access to all of the JW Marriott property amenities which was awesome. We met several people visiting that frequent Casa Maat (2-4xs). The whole premises was clean and maintained well. The reviews mentioning the rooms needing renovations did not understand the designs of Jim Olson. We will definitely be returning and recommended the hotel to all of our friends. Make sure you book a reservation at Acre... you will not be disappointed.

Stayed at the Casa Maat for the second time in April 2025. This trip we brought another couple and could not be happier to have revisited this oasis within the JW Marriott. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the butler team, we felt well taken care of and relaxed. Appreciated how they started a group chat with us and the entire butler team. This allowed for seamless service, regardless of who was on duty. Truly appreciate Jesus, Francisco and the entire team’s detail and follow up with our dining, spa, golf and transportation needs. Adored the service team at the Mayma Lounge who made breakfast such a treat each morning. The team checked on our needs throughout the day at the pool offering drinks and snacks, always with a smile. It was impressive to see so many of the same staff working at Casa Maat two years after our first visit. A testament to the level of service. Love the intimacy of the boutique hotel and private pool, but appreciated the access to the overall JW property. Enjoyed the complimentary daily access to spa’s hot tub, cold plunge, steam and sauna. Made for a relaxing trip. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

This was our second time staying at Casa Maat and once again it was a great stay. The butler staff is wonderful they really take care of everything: Shout out to all of them: Jesus, Abraham and Francisco. Thanks for making our stay great. Only difference this year was we came about two weeks later (the third week of March) and it was much more crowded. Therefore not always a table outside for breakfast and noticed people saving lounge chairs early. Got out one morning at 10:15 and almost all the chairs were already reserved. Just be aware that spring break time definitely makes a difference.

So, all the reviews which have 5 stars for this property will tell you what's wonderful. Allow me to tell you what's not wonderful despite which I think it deserves 5 stars: First: I can't believe other reviewers haven't commented on the brutalist "soviet style" architecture of this place: its all concrete, huge severe and square. No soft edges here. I guess it jives with the landscape which is very dry and severe. Not to my liking but not enough to take a star away. Second: this property is far away from everything and the beach is NOT swimmable in the least because the waves are merciless. Also, front desk people: don't talk your guests into taking the $25 taxi to the nearest shopping area when Uber costed me $6 Third: the daily dinner is Meh. I am not fussy about food AT ALL and even I was suprised at the huge chunk of fried chicken they plonked on my plate one night. Still, 5 stars.

“Unparalleled Service at JW Marriott!” Our stay at JW Marriott was nothing short of extraordinary! The service was absolutely wonderful, but what truly set it apart was the incredible butler service. They went above and beyond, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. From the warm hospitality to the impeccable attention to detail, we were waited on hand and foot with so much love. It was an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait to return!
