Riverside, The European Homestay 1 and 2! Luxury and Value in Goa's delightful location

Four nice apartments that are well maintained and well cleaned. To each apartment a large terrace. From the two apartments on second floor view to the river. Of the staff Miss Alfiya and Mr. Illyas are very serviceminded and helpful. Friendly owner family (living at ground floor).

Terrible NOISE.... from dogs (two dogs at neighbour house and one dog at house just opposite making noise around the clock), noise from two nearby temples (from the nearest one every Friday afternoon and evening until 9 pm and from the other one when festival from late afternoon until midnight and sometimes even until around 4 am), noise from the road just below (worst from heavy motorcycles but also from scooters, cars and some busses and trucks), and noise from construction work going on on the very same building and/or on nearby buildings. Sadly, the noise makes it most of the time impossible to talk normally on the terrace and prevent you from doing remote work with phone and video calls. Booking was done 'included breakfast' and then I (and other I spoke with) would expect breakfast is served, but that's not the case. Instead, after several discussions with Mr. Majumdar, I every fifth day got delivered a package of brown toast bread and one piece of cheese (200 gram) and during my stay two times got 6 eggs - and the rest I bought my self. Also, some services and facilities mentioned on Booking.com should be adjusted according to reality. Mr. Majumdar is kind as long as you praise the homestay and him, but if you raise any issues or question something he doesn't like, his attitude changes and he then doesn't listen or even starts blaiming you (for example that you just don't understand Indian culture) or even also shout at you (that will probably also appear from his reply to this review). If less noise at the place, my overall rating would have been 8.

The Bhajan from the temple is very nice and soothing. The village is beautiful and quiet even though there is some traffic during the day. It is very near nice restaurants and supermarkets.

Very clean, well furnished and great view of the river. Excellent and caring service. The stocked fridge was an added bonus.

Nothing, everything was excellent.

Everything was just perfect: The Host, His Team of two, always available, very responsive and ever so courteous. The Location of the property was what I was looking forward to: in the midst of the Goan village, serene,green and calming! The Chapora River was a stone's throw away which added to the unique charm of the property. While at the property I was reminded of a couplet by Amir Khusro which roughly translated in English means if there is a paradise on earth, it is this, it is this, it is this. Next time, when city life becomes too difficult to bare, I am going to seek refuge here

I am scratching my head on this one but really couldnt find any fault with the property per-se. However, the premises next door, on which the Host and his Team have no control could have been more tidy. Parking could have been more spacious.

I really liked the location. Next to the river, could come out and have my morning chai while staring at the calming river. Came with my wife and the size of the apartment too was perfect for us and close to all the cool spots around siolim

Friendly Homestay experience, nice and clean rooms...nice view from the top. Owner was very responsive and had been checking continuously about our needs and what better can be done. Overall a nice experience. 👌

Good location if u r planning to do something at baga ,anjuna ,vagator etc. True value for money ,the team did it's best to keep us comfortable..Bread butter eggs are stocked,so serves well for quick breakfast and other emergencies.webhad some small issues beginning but the team pitched in strongly to correct and resolve.Mr Amitava and Sneha supported well ,it's one thing to have a problem but swift action and monitoring to make us comfortable is a real indication that the property is in good hands ,kudos to them.

Parking slot to be made exclusive and available through out the stay. But then the action was taken immediately as well ,I could see the parking boundary made with plant pots,good work. Also a more softer bed would be more comfortable,just an improvement

Great location on the Chapora River in an untouched Goan village. Excellent amenities. Brilliant view of the river and greenery all around. Very helpful and efficient executives. Will definitely return for a longer stay.

The stay was awesome and the property owner had all ears to listen to us.
