Riverside, The European Homestay 1 and 2! Luxury and Value in Goa's delightful location

The host was prompt and quick in communicating. Also, he was generous with snacks, water, tea, coffee, sugar, milk powder, toffees, bread, eggs, butter, not sure if I have forgotten something.The kitchen had cutlery and crockery if one wanted to cook a meal, and a toaster, water kettle and induction stove.

There was no one to help at all with the luggage. No one physically present. If it were not for my son, my husband and I would have been waiting, for someone to come and help us, as we both had health issues, and could not carry luggage to the second floor on narrow steps. Also, the master bed was too small for 2 adults to sleep on. Lastly, no washing machine or even clothes line, like other home stays to wash/ dry clothes for a long stay.

Nobody was around,keys were nowhere.It is a hard second floor apartment,very steep stairs and there was no water as mentioned by the owner that it is inside the house.

The sofa was filthy,bed had hair and there was a nasty smoke smell inside.The bed is so small that only a child can sleep,it is not for an adult.We called the owner about the dirt,spider webs hanging and he started shouting that we are saying this to go away from the property.The entire night he called and threatened us.Ultimately we paid him 15000 and didn't get refund but couldn't stay in a property that was so dirty that my husband had severe asthma attack,we finally checked into another property and saved ourselves from trauma.The owner told us he has sold the property to another customer and we can vacate.He refused to refund and threatened us that he will harm our child and us if we do any complaint.This was one of the first terrible experiences of our lives in Goa.Goans are extremely warm and kind people,the neighbors and cleaner also complained about the owner.Another guest who was in the next door apartment also had similar story to tell-greedy neighbor,dirty apartment and endless threatening phone calls for money

Moth balls in the drawers and even behind the fridge. Very pungent.

Responsive host irrespective of time when you need help, cleanliness of the house, well equipped with basic kitchen amenities and calm surroundings.

No Parking space available at times. Exhaust in the bathroom would have been good.

This place is great , in a quiet area , big space , everything you need to stay a bit longer. Kitchen with fridge kettle toaster you can even cook if you want there is dishes... they also provide some free food (magie noodles, eggs, water, tea, coffee, sugar ... bread , biscuits... 😁 . The living room is nice with two sofa (one is bed convertible) , the bedroom and a bathroom ... there is also a nice big balcony terrace in front from where you can see the river and some palm trees 🙂 the staff is very helpful and always want to help if its need . Thank you 🙏🏽

The bed in the bedroom is maybe not big enough and the mattress was hard... but still we sleep well 🙂

Amazing view from the balcony, super clean and extremely attentive host. Would highly recommend!
