RedLevel at Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora - Adults Only

Exceptional swimming pools, amazing breakfast at Red Level area. Delicious cuisine and top notch service at Terrace and Bistro restaurants. Staff is very helpful and kind in general.

Shortage of staff in most restaurants thus long waiting lines even for restaurants booked in advance: Pangea, Nami, Duo. Only Terrace and Bistro were perfect. Not enough umbrellas on the beach and near the pool.

The hotel grounds are nice.

This is not a five-star hotel. It’s barely a three. The hotel grounds are nice, but the rooms desperately need renovation. Everything is old and worn out—wood and textiles smell musty. We specifically chose this hotel for my mom’s birthday, but there was no acknowledgment from the hotel at all, which was surprising. Five-star hotels usually decorate the room for special occasions and provide a cake, fruits, flowers, or balloons. This hotel didn’t do anything. The restaurant staff is extremely slow. There are long lines of people waiting for tables everywhere. The waiters take forever to clean and reset the tables. The service is terrible. We never got to try the à la carte restaurants because reservations need to be made way in advance. There are too many people, and queues are everywhere. There aren’t enough loungers by the main pool for everyone. The so-called adults-only area is not actually for adults only. We constantly heard children screaming right outside our window. There is absolutely no soundproofing in the rooms. You will hear every little noise from your neighbors—including their moans and screams during sex. It’s a nightmare.

Excellent location. Good service, Good room and facilities

The Red level aspect of the stay was great. Conversely what we didn’t like was the lots of children, noise etc. in the communal areas. After a few days we learnt to avoid those.
