Rotunda - New Street, City Centre, Birmingham

good location for the train station, shops and places to eat and great views of the city. The entrance is in the main shopping street on the opposite side from the station. clean apartment with everything you might need.

the floor to ceiling windows (which did open although one handle was broken and there was a sign stating the windows were not to be opened!) do have an internal glass screen for safety but there is a small gap between that and the window. It would be good to mention it on the property description as it might put off those with small or lively children, given the apartment is on the 16th floor!

shower was too hot and broken couldn’t turn heat on it down so couldn’t shower as was physically burning me. Room was like a sauna. No ventilation with the sun blaring in made it uncomfortably warm, needs AC or functional windows

the fridge door was broken, microwave doesn’t work, pull out sofa bed head board was broken and fell off. punch holes in the wall, stains on the floor. railing against window, cracked and broken. broken chair, the back would come off and another chair had no seat just a cushion to hide it.

The location and the view

It was dirty and we suspect it hadn’t been cleaned since the previous letting. We think this because there were partly used toiletries in the bathroom room and no unused ones. The on off control for the shower was loose and on the shower floor. The water in the bathroom was basin did not drain properly. The washing machine did not function and flooded. The place needs an urgent makeover.

The sleeping bed was broken that we had to sleep on, no clean set of pillows
