The Royo Rock Hotel lived up to its name, nestled within the mountains. Arriving at night, we were pleasantly surprised the next morning as the breathtaking views of the mountains unfolded before us. The scenery was remarkable, with invigorating fresh air and captivating trees. Just WOW !!! This was by far one of the best locations I have stayed at regarding the view. The view was mesmerizing overlooking the beautiful green mountains. The experience at the hotels was great as well. The staff was courteous and helpful. Our room was clean and fresh, providing a comfortable retreat. The hotel service was excellent, and the culinary experience was equally impressive. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, adding to the overall positive stay. I would recommend The Royo Rock Hotel for those seeking a hidden gem in the mountains. Its stunning views, clean accommodations, excellent service, and delightful food offer a memorable experience for anyone looking to escape and unwind.

It's an excellent place to visit. Mount view scenery around the hotel. Stunning view, beautiful modern deco and great service. The Bathtub is gorgeous and waking up to that view was spectacular. Friendly and attentive staff, and all round great stayAttractive food menu. The Breakfast spread and the varieties were super. The royo rock ella staff went above and beyond to ensure that every moment of my stay was memorable, from arranging personalized excursions to anticipating my every need. best place in ella srilanka.

View was excellent. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Picked us up in a tuk tuk for the bumpy ride to the property. Curry and breakfast also very good. Location with lots of potential with new rooms on the way.

It was raining for our whole stay and the basic terrace was too wet to sit on. There is room for improvement for some of the furnishings to make sure they're more suitable for the damp climate. Given the rain, water dropping could be heard on the roof above the. Lots of potential for the location but building materials not upto scratch. No access to anywhere else so have to eat in the hotel. Need to take the tuk tuk to access. Might be ok for intrepid travellers.

The view is amazing as well the small garden, the staff is extremely kind and the breakfast was great.

A bit hard to access as the road is not done/poorly maintained. The floor was not clean and overall the room could be better maintained/renovated. We didn’t have enough hot water for 2 small kids and then had to wait to take our very short shower as the boiler is small. The card machine was not working and the owner asked us to pay cash last minute which was an inconvenience. The kindness of the staff makes up for everything.

It’s a single unit. Focus is on you. The views are amazing . Chamara who oversees the place is outstanding. He makes amazing dishes. My kids remember the place bcos of him

Need to maintain. Fix the sliding windows. Clean the place b4 next guests

The property is situated in the middle of a tea plantation, in the jungle. The room was very spacious and clean, with a superb view over the valley. The staff was incredibly welcoming, taking good care of us during our stay. All in all, it was a memorable experience, which we highly recommend.
