View was stunning. Food excellent, staff excellent, Very comfortable.

Would have nice to have had more comfortable seating outside. But didn’t stop us having an amazing night. View ,staff and view was faultless

Amazing location based in a tea plantation , great view down the valley, personalised culinary schooled chef on site. Chef happy to accommodate personal requirements.

It is remote so not suitable if you want to be near shops and restaurants . Including the 10 mins Tuk-tuk from the road arranged by the manager it is about 30 mins from Ella.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ro Yo Rock Ella, and I can not express enough how fantastic my experience was! From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The hotel arranged a stunning tuk-tuk to transport us from Ella town, making the journey not only convenient but also a delightful adventure in itself. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the owner, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay. It’s evident that the staff is genuinely committed to providing excellent service. They made us feel right at home from the very beginning, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. Waking up the next morning was a dream come true! I opened my curtains to the soothing sound of birds chirping, and the view of the sunrise was simply breathtaking. The panoramic vistas of the lush greenery and rolling hills surrounding the hotel were truly a sight to behold, making it an excellent spot for nature lovers and photographers alike. One of the highlights of my stay was discovering a secret water pool near the hotel. It was an oasis of tranquility, providing the perfect spot to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Swimming in the crystal-clear water was a refreshing experience that I will cherish. Overall, my stay at Ro Yo Rock Ella was nothing short of magical. The combination of excellent service, stunning views, and serene surroundings created a memorable getaway. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ella – you won’t be disappointed! There's not much to complain

Fantastic views and a great space. A little way outside of Ella (contact the place prior to coming to arrange transport), but worth it to escape the crowds and see the views stretching across the south of the island. The villa is set up well, and the staff are attentive. The food was some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka too, breakfast especially.

Views are amazing and the staff are very helpful.

The air con system is not very powerful so it takes a long time to cool the room. The road up to it is awful, if you get travel sick this place is not for you.

Promoted as 5 star for the accommodation and although the views were, the room is not (yet). The finish is not quite there. So much potential here, hopefully with the expansion, the finer touches will be done. It’s one room only- we were expecting a hotel as advertised. Quite intimate as a result with us and the staff! It’s also a fair drive from Ella, perhaps another 25 mins of mountain road and track. Easily done with a tuk tuk and the staff were happy to help with this.

Amazing view, food is great, property is so peaceful, clean, and comfortable.

You simply feel amazing in this accommodation. The staff is very friendly and helpful with everything. The breakfast was just fantastic, not to mention the view from the accommodation. I definitely recommend it! 🙂

The view is sensational. Absolutely breathtaking! This hotel is all about the view. Will exceed your expectations!

There were many ants and insects in the room and bathroom - on the walls, beds, tables, and they even got into our luggage. The walls are water damaged, and the hot water runs out quickly.
