Withnell Stays - Apartment Four - Ground Floor

The apartment was lovely, so much space and great for families! Perfect location.

The hot water and heating weren’t working in our apartment, but the next day we were given the code to one of the other apartments to access the shower.

Location and rooms available

No heating or hot water. Fire looks nice but no heat comes out from it No television in one bedroom again (was same last year but was told they were replacing it) Other bedroom had a waterproof topper on but the bedsheet was too small so kept sliding off, which meant they were sleeping on the sticky plastic which was uncomfortable and kept making the child wake up. Outside the apartment was a mess, pipework sticking out of gravel, a double buggy that was there last year was still there

Interruption of the WiFi for more than 24hours was not nice at all

The apartment was lovely on the surface, very large in size, fab bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely aesthetic and how it was decorated. Well equipped with household provisions

The parking space that we paid an additional £10 for, the space available on our arrival was on two different levels. The area where the space was located was filthy- it looked like someone had fly tipped with rubbish/ or the sea gulls had attacked a wheelie bin. However there were abandoned bathroom cabinets and a pram in the parking space, building remnants on the path to the front door of the property. There was also dog excrement on our path ? Where but then this was consequently walked into the hall way. The cleaner was still there who was fabulous at helping us with our Luggage/ children to try and avoid the dog excrement and actually cleaned it up bless her. We had issues on the evening with the bath not draining after our showers, after poking the plug home there looked to be tissue that had gotten stuck down the hole. After the children were in bed we were just sat and heard lots of dripping in the bathroom, to find a leak from around one of the halogen lights onto the shower head and into the bath. This also then starts dropping into the Kitchen and down the wall. We can provide pictures if required. We quickly contacted the proprietor to inform him of the issue, who was great in getting in contact with me with how late it was.

Apartment was comfortable , clean and tidy. Close to everything we wanted to do. Quiet location considering the pleasure beach wasnt that far away. Parking behind the apartment was great also.

Needed more cupboard space in bedrooms. Too many tvs

The interior was amazing. Super modern, stylish yet simple. Very clean. Great touch for kids, and the big kid (partner) the gaming machine. Fully equipped with tea and coffee.

It looks like it’s still under renovation. A few touch ups in the apartment would be great, filling holes, loose wires and none working lights. Also a tv missing in one of the bedrooms (we didn’t mind, but someone might) The slate all over the front needs removing in my opinion as my 80 year old mother in law found it difficult with her walker. If paid for parking, it’s to the rear of the property then you can walk down an alleyway connected to the property, that needs cleaning up, beer cars, gas pipes, broken house bricks and waste. Very dangerous. Also outside the front door were 2 large blue tubes sticking out of the ground. We went out for tea and the front door wouldn’t lock. Obviously the landlord/lady can’t help the surroundings, but not in a pleasant area. Had to chase around for the code as it was meant to be sent 1 hour before check in, but it wasn’t until we rung at check in time that we were given it.
