To survive one night Is ok…if other options are not available

Very…very cold at night. It might be good for the future to have a heater at something like that on the room. Also I was not satisfied with the food. I stayed at other hostels on the way and food was way better.

I liked the room and the attached bath, the solar outlets work nicely and I was able to charge my devices easily before the sunset. The night views were wonderful (I was in a private room with a part glass ceiling). I really enjoy staying at this place.

I was overcharged for my room, I had to do the math with them to show that I was overcharged. I still was overcharged 20 Soles more. Also, I asked for a cheese sandwich (I dont eat meat) for lunch to go. When I got to eat my lunch on the trail I noticed I got a Ham and cheese sandwich. I made the difficult choice to throw away Ham and eat the rest as I was super hungry. In their defense they had a medical emergency so they might have goofed it up as all of them were tending to the sick guest.

The cabin we stayed in was very clean and appeared to be very new as well. The staff was so friendly and I loved that it was right on the trail and right at the base of the hike to the lake which made everything very convenient

Good location. Friendly staff.

Overpriced. Dinner was so-so with small portions. Soup was 1/3 of normal Peruvian portions. Main course was a smallish portion as well. Breakfast was ok, but not included in the price. Overall too expensive for the service.

Location between Lake Huantay and the start of the Salkantay trek

It’s more a site with sheds than a hostel. With sheds I mean constructions that were built with the cheapest materials and the greatest carelessness. Staff are mainly busy with each other. Dinner is served at 17.00 and breakfast at 5.30 and not a minute later. Breakfast was very chaotic and the stale bread inedible. The early breakfast is only to cater to large groups that leave early. The first day of Salkantay is tough but there is really no need to leave this early. This place is soulless and only catering to masses. It was by far the most expensive stay on the trek and the least worth
