Wow the views!!! I had the cabin with the clear ceiling and the stars were incredible. The vibe here was very fun and everything was comfortable. I did not get the breakfast, but dinner was great.

Considerando que es un refugio de montaña en el medio de la naturaleza, me pareció espectacular! Una experiencia increíble, mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. Compartí habitación de 10 personas. La cama cucheta doble para mi y mi pareja, fue un plus. Si bien nevaba y no había calefacción, dormimos con calor! 5 mantas en cada cama. Además la cama era muy cómoda, las sábanas limpias. La ducha muy limpia con todo pensado para la comodidad del viajero/a. Limpiaban seguido. La organización del desayuno muy bien también. Enchufes con energía hasta las 20 hs. Todo bárbaro. En cuanto a ubicación, es la mejor dentro de la zona ya que se encuentra justo al pie de la caminata a Humantay. Y al pie del camino al Salkantay. Se llega al Hostel caminando aprox durante 1 hr desde Balcompata.

Luego de haber hecho el Salkantay, puedo decir que el precio es elevado en relación a otros alojamientos en medio de la montaña donde me alojé los días siguientes. Sin embargo, volvería a elegir este lugar. Me gustó mucho.

Location was right on the trail at the bottom of Humantay Lake. We stayed in a private cabin which was comfortable. Flushing toilets and showers available as well as meals and take away sandwiches for lunch. Free tea and coffee which we enjoyed in our down time. They offered a transfer from Cusco which was super convenient and hassle free with a breakfast stop on the way. Communication via WhatsApp was excellent.

Something to consider - no heating or cooling in the private cabin. This was not a problem for us but the dome was very warm in the day. It cooled down quickly in the evening but I suspect the dome could get quite hot in warm weather.

Friendly staff that made doing Salkantay self-guided really easy, incl access to all the meals we needed. Lots of blankets on the bed to keep warm!
