Room was large with plenty of space to spread out. Hosts made themselves scarce which was also good.

Well, you get what you pay for… it is cheap but I have to be honest.. I was given a room on the ground floor, right next to the main entrance, which no one in the house bothered to lock. Since the bedroom door doesn’t lock either and there’s no safe, anyone from the street could have walked straight into the house and into the rooms. It felt incredibly unsafe. I could hear people coming and going all night, constantly slamming the front door—it was impossible to get a decent night’s sleep. The toilet and bathroom are separate from the room. The toilet was filthy, the mirror above the sink was covered in stains, and the whole area felt neglected. In the room, the sofa was covered with a blanket, likely to hide some very suspicious white stains. The bed was also uncomfortable. I even had to unplug the fridge to avoid the noise it made during the night. Overall, it was a really bad experience.

Convenient for ferry

The room wasn’t ready and very dirty when we checked in at 6pm although I was informed that check in after 3pm. It was then cleaned while I went for dinner. The bed pillows were old and lumpy but the bed was comfortable. A below satisfactory stay unfortunately.

Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac. On street parking. A spacious and comfortable room.

The room didn’t have a lock on the door.

The room is indeed very big and spacious with all the listed amenities. It is clean and smells good when entering the room. It was easy to park. The host is responsive and sent me all the information I needed. Checking in was very easy.

The bed was a little small for two people and not very comfortable.

Nice Room, clean and cosy

No lock on the room door and no way of knowing which room was mine when I arrived. The rooms need to have locks for people to feel safe and numbers on the door to identify their room….all very strange.

Very clean and quiet and can't fault the high-finish white decor; efficient booking system amd flexibility. But I wouldn't recommend for solo women. There is no way to lock the room door which is just inside the front door which is left unlocked by the family living there. This affected my sense of security and ability to sleep. The bathroom was upstairs in the family's living space. It was odd that nobody came to say hello and I never saw them. The neighbourhood is v quiet and a new-build estate but felt eerie and a bit isolated. Definitely need a car if on a leisure visit but there are good local buses into town. I was out most of the time so it was fine and a local friend, who was part of the group I was weekending with, was living nearby which helped me feel safer. I'm not saying there is anything unsafe with the accommodation or the area but it's about how you "feel" and I didn't feel secure. A simple lock on the door would have made all the difference. Jo
