Hera Grand Luxury Cruise

We had such a great time on the Hera Grand Lux Cruise—it honestly exceeded all our expectations. The boat is beautiful and feels luxurious and vintage vibes. Our cabin was super comfortable with big windows, so we could enjoy the views even when just relaxing in the room. The staff were incredibly friendly. The food was a big highlight—everything we ate was delicious (except for on the excursion) and beautifully presented. The activities were well-organized and fun, from kayaking and visiting caves to squid fishing. It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. If you're thinking about booking this cruise—do it. It’s a fantastic way to experience the area, and we’d 100% do it again! If you want something more modern I highly suggest booking the Amanda luxury Cruise which we also got to try due to a booking error.

There is too many activities to do. Honestly if you practicipate in everything there is no need to book the more expensive room because you don't spend much time in it. Wifi is spotty at best but you really dont need the internet with so many things to do. Unfortunately weather was terrible however this is because we choose to come in the offpeak season as I dont like crowds. Definitely would come back in spring/summer despite crowds On the second day we had a day excursion on another provider with other day cruise customers the food wasnt as nice. The main thing for me is not having my own bathroom. Keep in mind drinks are not included. They are cheaper than in western countries but still more expensive than SEA. Its best to keep a tally yourself so you don't get sticker shock. I wasnt able to drink because of medication so it wasnt an issue for me however i did over hear another guest complaining about this when we had to pay at the end. There was a bit of a mix-up with the booking and we were accidentally double-booked for the second night. But the staff handled it really well—they upgraded us to the Presidential Suite on the Amanda Cruise for the next day, and it was incredible. The room was huge, with a private balcony and amazing views. It ended up being a really fun twist to experience both cruises! Please also bear in mind the shuttle only offers drop offs to old quarter. Me and my partner decided to change the last leg of our journey due to weather and upgraded our hotel to one in west lake. This meant the shuttle dropped us off in the middle of no where as we were not going to old quarter . The staff at hera cruise was very nice and even dropped off a little gift (vietnamese coffee and plunger) at our hotel in westlake

we liked the day tour to the village which included a bike tour ,kayaking and excellent food. The staff on the day trip were excellent.

The day trip also included a trip to a pearl farm. There was no mention of this visit from anyone that it was included in the day trip and we did not enjoy this part of it. In terms of the actual boat ,we did not like the fact that we got switched to a different boat last minute. We also did not believe the switch in boat was like for like in what we paid ( room size ,size of boat etc).The food on boat was very disappointing.

Unfortunately, I have to say that there was absolutely nothing enjoyable on this entire trip.

The Hera Grand Luxury Cruise did not live up to its description. My suite smelled heavily of kerosene, the interior was dated and damaged, and the so-called private terrace was not usable due to poor condition. The ship showed considerable signs of wear, lack of maintenance, and the overall atmosphere onboard was far from relaxing — including a missing enjoyable sun deck as there was no sun protection and very limited communication with the staff due to language barriers. Additionally, drinks were significantly overpriced compared to other luxury options in Vietnam. This cruise was an extremely disappointing experience overall, and I would not recommend it to travelers seeking a genuine luxury stay in Halong Bay.

Room, sightseeing tour, staff behavior , Cruise virtual co ordinator miss Hana was very nice and helpfull , she manage first to last all transfer and all the things for Cruise tour very well. Cruise manager Mr. Dan was very good to communicate ,knowledgeable and friendly behavior, manage our trip so well

Food, property was quite old, not maintained well.

Unfortunately, we did not get to stay this cruise as two days prior, we were told the boat was in dry dock & they offered a transfer to a different cruise. They sold this as an upgrade, so we agreed, but it was not as we had originally booked two king suites & were given a suite & standard room. We were not happy & eventually they did compensate a refund, 10% of cost. However, we would still have preferred to be on original cruise as the rooms looked much better. Positively though, Ms Hana, who we corresponded with from booking to the end, was brilliant & could not have tried to help any more for us to have a great experience. We went on the Le Journey Elegance Cruise and it was fabulous apart from the room situation. Staff were excellent. We had two cruise managers Dee & Tony, Tony was excellent & got the party started on the deck. We were overrwhelmed with the amount of food and quality. We had a range of dietary requirements & all were met without any problems. Overall, it was an excellent experience in a beautiful place. 9/10 for the change of cruise & room situation.

Hello , The food was really nice, the staff was very very gentle, everything was very clean! The location amazing. Mrs. Hana helped us so well during the whole journey. She was amazing. I would recommend her to everybody!!!!

The activities could be maybe a little bit more variable. But for the rest ...... our stay was perfect!

The staff were excellent. The food was amazing. I thought we would have option of excursions but you get put on day boat for Day number two.

Slightly too much excursion time and entertainment. Some cabin chilled time would be good. The weather was bad which didn’t help. The crowds at caves and beach were awful.

We had a wonderful time in Ha Long Bay, hosted by Tony (1 night) and Minh (2 nights) as managers of the cruise and their wonderful team. We really loved the the two day cruises we went on as they were different and had fun activities. Again, the staff was absolutely amazing!

The cruise was mainly catered to guests staying 2 days and 1 night (97% of guests, according to one guide) and not so much towards guests staying 2 nights or longer (3 nights in our case), which actually allows you to see way more of beautiful Ha Long Bay. It made the food and program on the cruise a bit repetitive, but can’t fault the staff. They were amazing and did their very best to switch things up.

Communication from this company is exceptionally good from start to finish. Very helpful.

When they charges for a glass of water with the meal is unfair cos a basic first glass of water is a necessity.
