Two bed flat in popular York Rd

Great location, a few minutes walk from the pub where we were attending a 50th birthday bash. Reallly good value for money, basic as expected but it was perfect for our needs. We were 4 adults for the two rooms and two of us had the bunk beds but the host had thoughtfully made up a sofa bed too, which was very welcome!

Nearly all good - the bathroom light flickers for a while after its switched on so leave it switched on until it settles down!

It’s ideal for someone that’s there for the night life, i.e going partying

Place wasn’t very clean, very noisy at night be lucky if u can get 3/4 hours sleep with everything going on

The double bed was comfortable and clean. Kitchen was reasonably clean & equipped. Location is a bit of a double edged sword... convenient for Kings Heath shops, bars, restaurants BUT bedroom windows are single glazed (with broken panes) at the front overlooking the street and are therefore noisy.

Access - down a filthy footpath at the side of the wine bar, rubbish bags at the foot of the access steps, wooden scaffolding boards a trip hazard at bottom of steps. The flat is marketed as suitable for families... I would not let children anywhere near this. It's dangerous. Carpets dirty. If you're going to have cream carpets in a holiday let...get a good vacuum cleaner & a Vax carpet washer and USE them...or change the carpets! All the floors were covered in bits, dirt, dubious marks - looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks! Only 2 pillows on double bed but I had booked it just for one person. Less than 10 sheets of paper on the only toilet roll provided is just plain mean. Washing up cloth in kitchen STANK! Haven't you heard of bleach? No tea bags in the caddy. Washing-up liquid bottle gummed up. Bedrooms noisy both from the bar below and street noise from other establishments. Blind on lounge window broken (slats can't be opened). Dubious stains on cushions & curtains. Whole place is very run down and nowhere near the standard you should reasonably be able to expect. It was just about tolerable for a single night but I defy anyone to stay any longer. I couldn't wait to leave!

Easy to find, dropped off bags then found a parking space just 2 minute walk away. Great location for a event at the horse and hounds opposite. The apartment is above a bar but it isnt any bother. Quick walk to the supermarket to get the basics. Really good value for money. Had everything there except and iron, which luckily I did bring. Def recommend.

Wasnt really anything that we didnt like. Just wish there was a full length mirror, Im short so did a lot of tiptoeing when getting ready. A little dated but wouldnt stop me booking again.

Good distance from city centre and free street parking.

We found crumbs in the bottom bunk bed so I didn't want to let the children sleep in it as it had clearly not been changed since last occupants which is unacceptable. Bedding old and bobbly on all the beds. Very noisy location. It's directly above 1 bar and opposite another with live music until late. This was a Monday night!!! It was also cold as there is no central heating- electric heaters supplied but if staying during winter, with children, bare this in mind as you wouldn't want to leave those running through the night. Access is through a filthy alley way with an awful rear garden that is clearly disused and there is lots of discarded furniture and bar paraphernalia everywhere. Kitchen is not well equipped. 2 small saucepans a fee plates and bowls amd bare minimum utensils etc. Toilet leaks around the bottom, everytime it's flushed. The front door has to be locked with the key which is not great for fire safety. I would not stay here again with children, but I would use it with a group of adult friends, maybe. Note: Tuesday morning is bin day. For the bars too! It's loud! So late night drinkers and band dragging their equipment down metal stairs at 2AM, then bin vans at 6.30AM. Just a warning to others.

Location was excellent.

The front door lock was difficult to use.

Perfect for our needs. Fine location.
