Perfect location for the game

L'emplacement est très bien, proche du métro (un peu trop mais on y reviendra), assez central sans être non plus dans l'hyper centre, pour ceux qui aiment l'exercice le bord de lac est proche très agréable pour se promener et courir. Bons équipements de cuisine avec notamment un four (très appréciable).

Le logement est extrêmement bruyant. Déjà le métro passe DEVANT les fenêtres et roule la nuit, dérangement assuré. Mais finalement ce n'était pas le pire. Il y a 3 appartements, nous occupions celui du milieu, et à chaque fois qu'il y a quelqu'un dans le logement au-dessus (c'est à dire 3 nuits sur les 4 que nous y avons passées), vous pouvez dire adieu à votre sommeil. Le plancher est extrêmement grinçant et nous étions réveillés constamment au milieu de la nuit et avions des difficultés à nous endormir dès que la personne au dessus fait un pas. Dès la première nuit cela a été affreux, nous avons tout de suite demandé à l'hôte de régler notre nuit et d'obtenir un remboursement pour les 3 restantes, cela a été refusé puis plus de réponses. En plus de cela il y a des insectes dans les draps et j'ai été piquée 3 fois, pour une fois que je dormais j'ai été réveillée par des démangeaisons intenses. Une semaine après notre retour j'ai encore les marques des piqûres. Pour terminer, il n'y a aucune intimité dans ce logement, les fenêtres donnent sur la rue, pas de rideau (du côté du salon), donc nous vivions les stores baissés ce qui est quand même très dommage. Bref, pour une nuit pour voir un match à côté ok, mais pour plusieurs nuits en espérant dormir passez votre chemin.

Great location.

The location is the key to this place. It is literally a 2 minute walk to Wrigley field and the Cubs made the playoffs this year so we took advantage of all the craziness to catch a game.

There is no mention in the description of this property of two key elements that likely would have precluded me booking it. This felt a bit bait and switch when we arrived. 1. The 'L' train red line runs directly next to the property and it runs every six minutes from 5am until 2am. It's very loud and is directly over the bedrooms. The property offers ear plugs but all of these noise instructions are not given until after you arrive at the property. 2. Basement Unit! There are Steps leading up to the property which are fine, but there are really steep, narrow steps wth loose DIY laminate coverings leading down into the property. This makes getting suitcases up and down very challenging and the steps were also difficult for older people which is who I was traveling with. The Bathroom was not clean and unfinished The kitchen was not well stocked with basic items. In particular there were no napkins or paper towels. The picture on this listing is NOT from this property
