Spacious, comfortable, well equipped, warm, fully working appliances, plenty of towels, bedding, extra blankets, designated parking space. Communication with the host was excellent, Joanne is friendly, helpful and does everything she can to make sure that you have a great stay. Location is clean, easy to find, quiet and perfect for exploring the area.

Warm and cosy, the lights and heating had been left on for our evening arrival

Host was very kind, friendly, professional and responsive.

It wasn’t possible to use the main tv without an internet connection, but host helped us with this.

No wifi No hot water for first 2 days then had to keep topping up boiler ( host gave us £20 back for inconvenience)

Very impressed with this holiday home for the price! It's super cosy with lovely decor, I personally loved the mismatched decor - it was quirky and homely. The lodge was clean and has everything you need for a few nights. The living area is open and spacious, bed is comfy, plenty of space and hangers for clothes, everything you need for self catering in the kitchen. There was tea and coffee, and ample toilet roll. Whilst there's no WiFi included, there is WiFi available. You can buy 5 days for £20 or if you are BT/EE customer (we are), it's completely free - just log into your account. You can't connect the TV direct to this, but you can connect your phone to the WiFi and then hot spot to the TV. We've been able to watch our Netflix, Amazon and NOW TV this way. The host was very responsive and helpful. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Such a lovely place to stay. Very home from home setting...Joanne is a wonderful host, who will help with any problems. The site is very quiet and clean, with the benefit of not being very far from Penrith or Carlisle.

The lodge was in a good location for the halfway mark of our holiday.

The lodge was in a poor state the sofas were grubby and all split in the seams, there was a awful smell in the lounge area which was like fish, the bathroom and bedrooms looked OK but smelt fusty and some blinds did not close as broken, the rugs that coverd the floor were grubby and the splash back and electric fire was coverd in smears, if our journey wasn't so far we would not have stayed here and just travelled home..

The location was beautiful, and we just felt at home. It was clean, cozy with all the facilities.

The mattress of the master bed could be more comfortable as i could feel the springs on my back
