2 Bedroom Apartment With Balcony - FREE PARKING

Got there and after already messaging earlier in the week asking how to access the apartment I called. They hung up on me, didn't answer any further calls. Then sent me a text saying "I'm at work". Then ignored texts I sent about getting access to the apartment. I then had to find last minute alternative accommodation. This should not be listed on booking com. Does the apartment even exist?

Nothing...

I never got the key. Ovner did not answer tekst or phone calls. Did stand out in the rain trying to get in touch with him. Had to find another place. Stay away from this...

THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM. NOBODY TURNED UP OR ANSWERED THE PHONE/ REPLIED TO MESSAGES. DO NOT BOOK. SECURITY GUARD WAS VERY HELPFUL & SAID IT HAPPENS ALOT WITH BOOKING.COM. HAD TO FIND AN ALTERNATIVE HOTEL

Unfortunately, it's difficult to describe what we might have liked about the property as the booking was cancelled by the host 30min before our arrival time. Others appear to have suggested that the location is great and well it might be if you can stay there. Our advice would be not to bother and look for somewhere else- we can strongly recommend the apartment on Gas Street- free overnight parking and free breakfast at the Italian Deli opposite the Canal moorings.

The host doesn't bother replying to messages, he cancelled 30min before our arrival time, gave some bullshit excuse that the place was a mess from a previous occupant, advised that he would start the refund process- he didn't and instead recorded that we'd checked -in (we had to sort out the refund).

Nothing didn't even get in to the apartment. No contact from host.

We were left for over an hour waiting to get into the apartment. No contact from host. Ended up having to book elsewhere. Complete scam!!

The week before the stay I tried on several occasions to get in touch with the owner. I emailed 3 times and then I tried to call, they hung up and said 'can't talk, text me'. I texted and arranged to park the car early on arrival day. When we arrived we weren't able to get in touch with the owner and had to pay for parking @ £20 for 12 hours so we can continue with our weekend in Birmingham. I hoped the owner would be in touch at 3pm (check in time) by 3:30pm we hadn't heard anything. Send a text and tried calling the number several times on multiple phone between our group. In the end the owner blocked all of our numbers so we weren't able to get in touch with them. We ended up having to pay over £200 to stay in alternative accommodation, plus the parking. We are absolutely disgusted in this behaviour and now reading recent reviews on this apartment, very disappointed in Booking.com that the owner is still allowed to list the property, as this problem has been a regular occurrence with other guests.
