Mislead about parking ending up getting parking charges

Good location - 5 min walk to bullring

Received a parking ticket!! After being told free parking, was then told they had appealed it but they hadn’t. Was difficult to retrieve the key for room and carpark as there’s no reception- the door to the building was locked and had to wait ages outside and was told to wait for someone living there to leave and catch the door to then enter and find our key in a box.

Nothing the place is a grubby,unsafe hole

Everything,the owner no communication,had to get booking.com to try and contact with him,the pictures look nothing like the apartment inside,we those lovely white walls?yeah no,no fire alarm,no curtains in one bedroom,the wind howled through the balcony doors,left us 2 towels between 4 of us,wouldn't give us the code to enter the building was told my brother changed it so I have to ring him and ask Then was told the door is open all the time anyways with people coming and going-dear reader it was not Then was told we could find the key in an open letterbox in said always open hall,tiles were all cracked,top of the cooker hob all scratched,and they wanted a 150 pound damage deposit in cash hahahaha hahahaha and the state of the place,oh and those tiny bottles of shampoos etc they provide?,we got one of each between 4 and the shampoo was half full lol,rang booking.com to tell them we were leaving and they wanted us to wait to see if the owner could fix stuff ??like what were they going to fix there and then?so far we have only been refunded 1/8th of the price will be looking for more They also offered no help in finding new accommodation so out of pocket for that now too

Master bed was very comfortable and pillows were good.

No blind / curtains in the second bedroom, living room was very cold and drafty and we couldn’t find a heater. There was a leak in the master bedroom window, we could hear the dripping throughout the night and there was a big puddle of water in the window sill in the morning. There were also lots of holes/ dents in the wall some had been filled in but not all, and had not been repainted so spoiled the aesthetic. Disappointed but he communication, I’d tried to message on the app weeks in advance of the stay and then again a few days before to ask about check in and had no response. When we arrived, we couldn’t get into the car park gate and hadn’t been sent the check in / key pick up instructions. We arrived at 4.00pm and looked and found we’d been sent a message at 3.20pm asking for a contact number to be sent the check in instructions (I feel this is very late notice and should have been done prior to the day of arrival)!

Check in procedure confusing No blind in bedroom and window did not shut properly so you could hear traffic noise all night One bedroom, the mattress was too small for the base the other bedroom the mattress was on wooden pallets Bathroom was in clean but very rundown condition broken tiles, broken bath bad mastic ground bath Hallway into property had very bad stains to the carpet Pots of cigarette ends on the balcony All in all the property just needs a good overhaul

The accommodation was cancelled an hour before arrival after a 5 hour drive and an important hospital appointment for our daughter.
