"Very Good"

7.0

comfortable beds. The traditional decor. Nice location. Nice dinning area. Decent WIFI. Cosy cottage feel.

Couldn't turn off the old AGA cooker/oven which made the house to hot. Had to sleep with the windows open to go to sleep. Shower takes some getting used to. Not sure the traditional tiled floor is best for drainage in a wet room. Floor will stay wet for a long time after using the shower. Had to put my shoes on to use the toilet or its wet socks.

"The cottage is in the most amazing location but is in need of a bit of updating. Some small touches would make a massive"

8.0

The location and village were fantastic, 2 great pubs and 15 to 30 mins from some amazing beaches.

The downstairs bathroom needs some TLC, a shower screen to stop the floor getting soaking wet and the door doesn’t shut properly. The outside wooden furniture needs attention as we kept having to mend it and the metal furniture was unusable as so dirty. Also the pond is stagnant.

"Nice enough but tired"

6.0

The owner was friendly and helpful over the phone. The location was great (we wanted to be near Ivybridge and be on decent roads, this was the closest accomodation for the size of our party). The two village pubs were both really nice and friendly too.

The cottage is tired and in need of some TLC; door handles loose / coming away, furniture in living room outdated and uncomfortable, no curtains on the front of the cottage or kitchen so no privacy, tiled floor in wet room style bathroom was a sliphazard (needed to use the towels to mop up after each shower), bathroom also very cold despite the radiator, no heating in bedrooms 2 and 3, and the electric fan heater in bedroom 2 was too noisy to use, bed in bedroom 2 very rickety and needs tightening up. Less of an issue but slightly disappointing was the lack of information as to where things were in the cottage, e.g. cutlery drawer, and the lack of the basics such as tea, coffe, toilet roll, etc. especially as there isn't a local shop where we could have stocked up. It felt like we were using what had been left by the previous renters. We ended up taking a run out to the Tesco store in nearby Lee Mill, not ideal when been driving for 10 hours to get there. Wifi wasn't great either, resulting in the TV buffering a lot. Overall a nice cottage but definitely needs a revamp.

"Lovely Devon cottage"

9.0

Lovely cottage in the lovely village of Ugborough - very close to Ivybridge for all essentials. Situated right across from the historic church, the bells are lovely and part of the village vibe. Lovely aga for cooking and warmth in the kitchen and lovely large fireplace in the lounge. We really enjoyed our stay here and wish we could come back in summer to enjoy the lovely outdoor areas!

"We booked the cottage for a funeral left after one night"

Not suitable for a 2 yr old, arga way to hot we did get instructions to turn it down but the rooms were still way to warm difficult to navigate the stairs with a toddler no hand rails. Bathroom could do with an upgrade

"We enjoyed our stay at The Glen!"

8.0

Very clean, comfy beds, loved the aga, great pubs in the village, well equipped. The owner went over and above to return my glasses!

The shower was tricky!! The place just needs a bit of tlc. The church bells do chime all night but not a problem.
