Staff were wonderful and hotel set back from the main road so quiet. Brilliant breakfast. Also, hosts helped arrange a car to our next stop and also back to the airport.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The location is perfect – just a short walk to the beach and not far from Ahangama town and its cafés. The rooms are small but very cozy, with plenty of space to yourself, including a fridge, a terrace, and everything you need to feel comfortable. What truly made this place special were the hosts. They took such warm and thoughtful care of us that we immediately felt at home. The food was absolutely outstanding – both breakfast and dinner were the best we’ve ever had while traveling, freshly cooked and so delicious. We would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone. If you’re looking for a cozy, welcoming spot with amazing food and hosts who really go above and beyond, this is it!

Lilani and her husband were great hosts, we felt very comfortable. The room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing.

Dilan en zijn vrouw en kinderen zijn enorm hartelijke mensen en geven je heel erg welkom gevoel. Ze zullen er alles aan doen om je een fijn verblijf te laten hebben en helpen je heel erg graag. De ontbijtjes zijn lekker en de kamer is schoon. De locatie van de accommodatie is ook goed: aan de andere kant van de weg zit het strand.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at this lovely homestay that we ended up staying for two months. It felt like a home away from home. The family was incredibly kind, welcoming, and generous—they treated us like part of their own family from day one. Every single morning, we got a delicious breakfast that they prepared with so much love and care. The food was fresh and varied. The homestay itself was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy. But what made our experience truly special was the warmth and hospitality of the family. We are really grateful for their kindness and we wholeheartedly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Sri Lanka!

My favourite stay during my trip to Sri Lanka! I extended my stay at Coco Bliss and still wish I could have been there longer. The family was the most welcoming I’ve ever experienced and it was always a great time hanging out with them. Expect an exceptional home cooked breakfast, amazing hospitality, as well as a clean and comfortable room. The location is right across from Kabalana beach which is perfect for beginner surfers to hire a board and get in some practice, but also for advanced surfers to ride some incredible waves. Also a great beach for spectators! The guesthouse is away from the busy streets of Ahangama but it’s just a short tuk tuk ride when you want to head into town. Behind the guesthouse is the train line where you can watch the train pass and meet the neighbours who might even cut open a fresh coconut for you if you’re lucky. You’ll also be well located for day trips to popular spots like Unawatuna, turtle beach, Galle, Welligama, Mirissa etc. and can travel to these spots using local buses, tuk tuks or the train. Highly highly highly recommend Coco Bliss for your stay on Sri Lanka’s south coast! I can’t wait to go back :)

This is our first time in Sri Lanka and we are from Japan. We came from Japan because a friend of ours was getting married in Ahangama, Sri Lanka and we were going to attend the wedding. We were looking for a place to stay and this place had great reviews and we believed them and booked it. We arrived at 1am and were greeted with smiles. We arrived at 1am and were greeted with smiles and breakfast was perfect. The inn is family owned and operated. They are a family of six: a couple, a son, a daughter, And two cute dogs! We had a wonderful time. It was relaxing. They had a nice smile on their faces. This place seems to be famous for surfing. Next time I want to come here to try surfing.
