"Great location for exploring the Chilterns"

We stayed here on a bike packing trip. They let us lock the bikes up safely in a safe room which was great . Choice of vegetation available . Lots of hot water and warm cosy rooms

Great location, great old building & beer garden beautiful. Staff helpful & friendly. If you like very old quirky coaching inns then you won’t be disappointed.

Food not very good at all. Could do with a better menu & better real ale knowledge.

Low price, quirky old free house could be brought back to a jem.

The facilities have tired, my room had only one pillow, smelled of damp. Toilet seat broken. The shower hadn't been run in a while as you could smell the sitting water .
