Hotel Arch Plaza at Yashobhoomi By Arch Group

Comparing to the most of the very cheap but total fake (!) hotels in Delhi it was a good pick. Room was all in all OK. Hotel has its own private taxi; airport ride was for low price (700 INR).

Still overpriced (just like every accomodation in the city). Traffic noise can be heard through the window. At payment the receptionist said that cash preferd, becasue credit card payment doesn't really work properly. Well... it worked without any problem when I insisted. Weird... or tricky!?

Room smells like someone just had smoke in there. I paid for deluxe room but the room I was given wasn’t even standard. When I went for breakfast it was all cold I was there at 9:15 I asked restaurant staff and they were like we started at 7 so it got cold now but the timing for the breakfast was from 7am to 10pm. Hotel was very noisy it wasn’t sound proof at all It was terrible.

All good except the noisy aircon. It is split system but still noisy.

The hotel manager did his best to accommodate my requests and deal with my concerns.

Except the reception staff and a few others, most of the other staff aren't trained or groomed well. The facilities weren't satisfactory and room service was poor. The bathroom in Room 401 didn't have a shower curtain. The toilet space is too tight and uncomfortable in both Room 301 and 401. They didn't provide dental hygiene kit or shaving kit when I first checked in. Only when I was moved later after two nights to Room 401, the kits were made available. The wifi situation was poor and unreliable. The manager tried his best to get it resolved though. The breakfast offerings are below average. Too few options to eat. And finally I had a lot of trouble with paying the property with my international debit card. I had to wait an hour after checkout in their office until they brought a new machine to swipe my card. For a $70 per night stay, you expect more.
