H'mong Eco House

A lovely, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. A perfect place for hiking in the hills around Sa pa. Fantastic value for money.

Die Zimmer und die gesamte Unterkunft waren sehr gemütlich und liebevoll gestaltet. Die Familie, der das Haus gehört, war unglaublich herzlich und stets hilfsbereit, sodass wir uns sofort willkommen gefühlt haben. Ein besonderes Highlight war die geführte Wanderung, dabei haben wir viele spannende und interessante Einblicke bekommen. Am Abend gab es ein gemeinsames Family Dinner, das nicht nur sehr gut geschmeckt hat, sondern auch eine sehr schöne Gelegenheit war, zusammen mit der Familie und anderen Gästen in entspannter Atmosphäre zu essen und sich auszutauschen. Alles in allem war es ein tolles Erlebnis mit einer schönen Atmosphäre. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Auch die zweite Nacht war klasse. Keine Mängel. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Alles war super. Tolle Gastgeber bei den wir schlafen durften. Abends gemeinsam gegessen. Auf Essenswünsche wurde Rücksicht genommen. Mitten im Reisfeldern, sehr ruhige Lage. Sehr sauber

Chu and Thu are the best hosts you could imagine. Chu took us on a hike and explained lots of interesting things about local flora and past and present life in the valley. At the dinners, which were among the best we had in Vietnam, we had interesting conversations, happy water, played music, and became friends. We stayed for 5 nights (which seems to be on the longer end of the usual), but we enjoyed the calmness and nature every day and did lots of hiking, walking and relaxing on the nice terrace. There is lots of places with extremely high reviews on Vietnam, but this one absolutely deserves it. The village in the valley offers everything you need (pharmacy, snacks, restaurants) and Grab comes there, so you don’t need to worry about that at all.

Be aware that you are in a simple house in the village, where animal sounds may wake you up in the morning.

Wanneer je hier aankomt lopen, weet je al direct dat je op een rustige, prachtige plek bent aangekomen. Het warme ontvangst van Thu en Chu (gastvrouw en gastheer) maken het dat je je hier direct thuis voelt. Extra bijzonder dat je ook echt even onderdeel bent van hun gezinsleven: samen eten, leuke gesprekken en af en toe een goed glas happy water :) Ga zeker op een trekkingtocht met hun! Chu heeft zoveel kennis over de cultuur, de natuur, de geschiedenis van de omgeving en je kan heel veel proeven onderweg. Blijf ook zeker meerdere keren eten, want het eten is heerlijk!

Even op instellen dat het een gezamenlijke douche en wc’s zijn, maar eigenlijk nooit hinder van ondervonden.

This was our favourite place that we have stayed in Vietnam and the perfect end to our trip travelling from South to North. We stayed for 4 nights but wish that we could have stayed for so much longer! The couple who own the homestay made us feel so welcome and having dinner each night with them and the other guests was really special. Breakfast was lovely and the coffee is really good too! The rooms are beautiful and the beds are super comfy! Chu also offers a full day trek which was an amazing experience and I would 100% recommend and there are also AllTrails walks nearby. The homestay is in a small village where there is everything you might need so there is no need to go into the town if you don’t want to and you can also hire a moped if you want to go further afield. Thank you so much for our stay and we hope to be back someday!

Everything was perfect!

Extremely friendly, accommodating hosts who made us feel very welcomed. The property was lovely; great views from the balcony and patio, comfortable bed, charming wooden building, and breakfast included every morning was great! The hosts, Tu and Chu, took us on a multi hour trek up into the mountains, told us about local life, traditions and we got to see some amazing hidden gem views. It was a highlight of our entire Vietnam trip. Great time in H’mong Eco House! Couldn’t recommend it more!

Only one shared washroom (although clean and modern). The walls/ceiling aren’t very soundproof, so at night you need to be mindful of your noise level, or other guests might hear you.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Les hôtes sont adorables et ils nous ont permis un late check out. Il y a un service de blanchisserie, location de scooter, restauration sur place et enfin ils organisent des treks. Tout est à un très bon rapport qualité prix. Par ailleurs, le logement se situe loin de l'agitation de Sapa et dans un très beau cadre. La chambre était spacieuse et l'espace salle de bain très propre. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement si vous voulez découvrir Sapa et ses environs.

We LOVED this homestay. We enjoyed getting to know the family, who were extremely hospitable, cooked very nice food & looked after us very well. The property was very clean and spacious, exactly as shown. We did the trekking which was fantastic and enjoyed learning about the culture and lifestyle in Sapa. We also did the traditional H’mong Batik painting workshop in the village which we really enjoyed and would recommend! Overall we had a wonderful time and only wish we could have stayed for longer.
