The host was friendly and very helpful when I had issues with the refund of my deposit

During my entire 1wk stay the TV didn't work once and no assistance received to resolve issue. Unlike other apartment hotels, my apartment never got serviced during my entire stay. When beach got closed due to rainy weather, neither the resort nor the host ever refunded me the R250 charge for the beach spot I had paid for and only enjoyed for 1hr. After having booked the property, that's when I was asked to pay a deposit. Which was never mentioned on booking.com Causing the issue that I had to use the bank account of someone locally that I know, because as a tourist I don't have no South African bank account.

The lagoon and how clean the place is. Our host was lovely.

The security by gate 2 is very unprofessional and rude.

"Too may issues, unlikely to choose this apartment or any apartment in this block again"

Clean and practical. Host provided fan upon request after I realised the apartment does not have a fan or aircon installed.

Codes to enter. Limited to two entries and exits per day. Severe discomfort when host is unable to answer to provide more codes and provided codes malfunction. Would not visit this property again for this single reason. Friday afternoon entry a nightmare, long queue of cars wanting to enter with codes, but code verification is so slow, security cannot process them ,causing massive delays, even if you are not entering he property for the first time. Host only has one set of keys, so anything that must be fixed/delivered is dependent on my availability at the apartment. Received message before stay stating electricity usage will be monitored and I cannot use aircon, that is extra. Which is unpleasant to receive before your stay. But then the apartment does not even have an air con? So it's not even relevant. I also received a message stating that I need to pay a holding deposit before arriving. No follow-up on this was received. This is not a normal practice and was not warned of in the booking process. Something minor: the drain in the bathroom got blocked. The host did offer to provide a drain unblocker but I was not available so this could not be actioned while I was staying there.

The neatness of the room

The power went off from Saturday night until Sunday afternoon we reported but it took those hours before it can be fixed, food spoiled, refrigerator melted we had to mop the whole apartment because we wouldn't risk slippery , no one came to see our rotten food we paid but ddnt get what we paid for we lost, evn restaurant service is far worst 😢 you can seat for more than 30mins without waitress
