They request a refundable fee of R750 which is not advertised on their page/ advertisement.. You only learn of it when you cannot cancel. They request immediate payment but they tell you it will take 5-7 days for you to receive 😪. 3 days after checking out still no communication on my R750

The property had double booked our apartment on the day of arrival we had to wait outside the gate of an unfamiliar place scared for our lives with our luggage from 16:30 to 18:30 until they organised an alternative place for us. We eventually checked in at the Blyde the following day, before that we were told to pay a deposit of R750 which we was never mentioned before. The door had a hole on the corner a creature could easily make its way inside the apartment we had to stuff our clothes on the hole when we sleep to prevent that. We asked the host for an access code hours in advance and it was never sent to us meaning your movement is very limited. Would not recommend!

Safe parking

This was one of the most disappointing stays ever, and we travel internationally extensively, but especially in Gauteng. The description is very misleading. The Lagoon is not accessible without paying P150 per person per day. Most of the listed amenities like the gym are not available to non-residents. If this is listed clearly ahead of time then a prospective guest can make an informed decision. If you are planning to stay there and spend a significant amount of time at the Lagoon, then perhaps it would be worthwhile. We had envisioned spending an hour here and there during our stay. There is not even a standard swimming pool available. So many reviews mentioned the inconvenience of trying to get a gate code in a timely manner. We had the same problem. It might be worth considering an alternative accommodation for this reason alone. The furniture was not as shown in the photos. The living room couch should be replaced. Unless you are going to spend a worthwhile amount of time at the Lagoon and have taken that cost into your consideration when selecting a place to stay, I would recommend looking elsewhere. I have considered reaching out to Booking.com about the inaccurate listing so that other travelers can make an informed decision.

I did not check in waited for the host to confirm our booking our booking was not recognised from two struggling to check in after 8 hours the host told us to cancel the booking instate of assisting
