Very friendly hosts. Lovely room and wet room. Great choice of breakfast.

Nothing to not like in our opinion.

The whole ambience had a family feel . The delightful smells of home baking wafted throughout - scones and cakes. Our hosts Tony and (especially Monika) made our stay very special . Just by remembering what we were doing each day and asking how it was and Monika shared places we would find of interest . We started each day with Monika’s awesome thick yoghurt full of berries and fresh fruit - I think it may of even had a dash of maple syrup - followed by crispy bacon toastie or delightful pastries.

I knew it had no tea - coffee facilities - but I did miss making our home from home early morning brew.

Lovely property with lots of character. Rooms were comfortable, clean and beautifully presented. Monika and Tony were exceptionally kind hosts, we will most definitely recommend to anyone visiting Helmsley.

Monia and Tony are brilliant hosts,warm,friendly and accomodating. The location was perfect.

Although we had complimentary tea and coffee in the coffee shop,it would have been nice to have tea and coffee facilties upstairs for the evening.

Everything! The room was beautiful, very comfy bed, large tv, wet room - everything you could ask for! Perfect location. Amazing coffees! The hosts were extremely friendly and really did look after us.

A lovely couple, a wonderful bed we didn't want to get out of, and good CLEAN spacious bathroom. Breakfast was excellent including Monia's wonderful pastries, fresh-made fruit scones and jam, good bread and coffee, yogurt and fresh fruit.

After visiting Porters Coffee Shop for many years, we were super excited to discover the B&B accommodation and the room did not disappoint! Tony and Monia were fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome! The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was superbly comfortable. The breakfast selection was absolutely delicious, along with the excellent coffee too! Meeting Breanna the beautiful tabby cat was a lovely bonus! 🐾

Location excellent. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Excellent. The venue is right in the middle of the market place and the surrounding shops, cafes and places of interest right on the doorstep.

My mobility is ok but not great. The stairs up to the bedrooms are very steep. The hosts have installed a chair stairlift so it's not impossible and the hosts were very helpful with carrying luggage etc. The double bed is very big and comfortable. Again, if mobility is not very good, the bed was a bit too high to get into. Not a problem if young and agile but a bit difficult for the elderly perhaps. But comfortable and a good night's sleep.

There was not one thing that we didn't like. The apartment, the bedroom, bathroom, cosy coffeeshop, Brianna the cat, Helmsley and its surroundings, and especially the very kind owners, all was great. We hope to be back some day!
