A cozy home with fire place

Host was very accommodating, very clean home the location was only 12min from downtown and neighborhood was quiet. At first I was a little worried about location from google because it had old pictures of the house before it was newly renovated but it actually was a safe peaceful stay. Home also has ADT and a security guard that patrols the area that made me feel extra safe. I was able to go visit my family in Allen park and Dearborn that was very convenient being only a 14 min drive I will definitely be coming back in the summer.

I didn’t like I had to pay a security deposit even though I received it all back just had to send thru credit card or cash app when I preferred to just give cash. I had to pay $25 for the private parking but I guest it was better than parking on the street.

My stay was very peaceful and I was able to get to many places from the location without a problem.

The house was in a good location and the surrounding neighborhood was quiet. Snow took out a power line our first day there knocking out the oven, but Joshua the manager brought us a portable stove and 2 space heaters within an hour. He was very responsive and helpful. I also like that the house is being fixed, as it shows on street view a year ago it was in complete disrepair. It is comforting to know there are people trying to help rebuild detroit.

The sofa is not meant for sleeping on, as there is a bar where your back rests. There is a lack of tables anywhere in the house. We didn't completely need them, but it would have been nice to at least at least have a fold out tv table for drinks and the like. A coffee table in the TV room would do wonders. The curtains for the rooms were somewhat broken, but again not a huge deal. I would suggest they grab some cheap cloth and just make real cloth curtains to section off the rooms. That way you don't have to deal with the plastic curtains coming off of their rail, you will just permanently nail the cloth up with a slit in the middle to walk through. Perfectly functional and cheap.

The property needs a lot of work. There was no dining table or chairs, no microwave, or coffee pot. There was a couch but the springs in it were broken. In my opinion it wasn’t ready to rent. It has potential if the inside is updated. There was a smell of mildew.

House located in the ghetto with an appearance that made us question our safety. Shady request for Cashapp security deposit upon arrival. No air conditioning. Only a third of a roll of toilet paper provided. No interior doors. No tables/chairs to eat/ sit. No cleaning supplies other than a broom and vacuum to be able to clean to the intensity asked of us. No toilet paper, trash bags, disinfectant or other cleaning supplies provided. Refusal to return deposit due to dissatisfaction of the clening of the house which was cleaned to the best of our ability with what little supplies we were given. No damage done to property, yet security deposit was withheld. The posting says that $150 would be collected for potential damaga to the property. He told us right off that he was going to keep $25 for cleaning. We expect $125 back but he refused to give it back and threatened to ban us off of booking.com if we spoke out about our stay. Added screen shot on what was promised but didn't get.
