I booked this for my partner, kids and family to stay over the night preparing for her graduation. On the way, my wife contacted them (the wife specifically) to notify them of a late check in since driving to the place from another city was delayed. They agreed. My wife arrived to the place but they had already checked someone in. There was nowhere else to go since it was about midnight. They then asked her to sleep in a squalid office on a mattress instead. I’ve attached a picture of the office in which the guy asked her to sleep in. My 18month old son had to sleep in that room. My wife and a month old baby plus other family members had to sleep in the car on the property instead. In the morning, they refused to offer ablution facilities and also locked my family inside, demanding a R1000 payment. Remember the booking was only for R396. In his defense, he said please forgive my wife she is 75 years old that’s why there was that mishap.

The owners were drunk and swearing at each other all the time. The bedding were dirty

The location is good.

We booked in to Heilas in house but when we got there they took us to the house next door as they did not have enough space for 2 nights. The rooms next door was clean, but still in the renovation process. We were split into 2 rooms. 1 room had a microwave, the other one not. There is no basin in the kitchen. No cups, cutlery or plates. They brought us 2 towels between 6 people. The bedding was only duvet inners and had no covers. And pillows was not good as well. Outside they are busy building a swimming pool. There is no danger tape around area or cornered off to keep kids away from falling in.

They waited for me even after my check in has past

The main door is left locked. The room has no key.
