"Total contractual failure and abandonment by the host; pending formal legal claim for damages."

Nothing. The service was never rendered as the host failed to provide access to the property. TOTAL CONTRACTUAL BREACH. The host (Aura) failed to provide the service, leaving us stranded without any prior notice or alternative accommodation. This constitutes a severe violation of the booking agreement and UK Consumer Rights. I am formalizing a claim for a FULL REFUND plus compensation for the emergency relocation costs incurred. Unprofessional and unacceptable

Absolute breach of contract. The host left my family stranded in Edinburgh without any alternative or support. This is a violation of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Booking.com’s Terms of Service regarding guaranteed accommodation

Location

How someone who has a little gold mine doesn’t care, I have looked at the reviews and the landlord doesn’t care. The broken front window no light in the bathroom that were reported 2024 so there is no point in filling this out as he doesn’t care.

The short walk to the castle and plenty of shops around

Sketchy area tob hon is broken , no hot water , tv doesn't work, no hairdryer, table broken, hear everything at all times of day and night . , half Lights don't work Rug is dirty

DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE! Nothing!!! There is not a single good thing about this place. The only redeemable element is their location.

DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE! It is filthy, cold and nothing works. There is no hot water and all the pictures are fake. This place does not look like on the pictures. Only one radiator worked, no wifi, cold water under the shower (which is broken), everything was sticky from dirt, the kitchen was missing basic utensils. There is no one to give you the keys, so if you have issues with opening the key box you will spend the night on the street or some other hotel - like I did. I cannot overstate how bad this place is.

Absolutely nothing….. this place is a scam! I had the police involved for a fraud investigation…. This is ongoing.

There are no redeeming qualities at this property! From the disgusting back ally entrance ,full of rats and garbage… to the walk up several flights of stairs passing kicked in doors …. To the filthy courtyard unit entrance…. The booking strictly prohibits party’s…. Yet there was a party in the unit next to this one! Open entering the property…. I couldn’t find many working lights, and noticed the kitchen bulbs had been removed! This was clearly to hide the massive water leak in this area, the floor was soaked and reeked of mold!the floorboards had buckled from the moisture! Turning back to the living room, I noticed some thin white plastic, taped on from inside the unit…. To replace the missing window! This is a ground level window, allowing easy access for thief’s or worse! I reached out to booking.com and the owner…. To let them know the issues and that I would not be able to stay here with my 14 year old son…. Both acknowledged that I had not checked in. I am now being told that booking.com is willing to refund less than 1/5th of what they charged me…. And informed me that they accept no responsibility for the unit itself…. And I was to take it up with the flat owner! I have received a few emails since stating that they have spoken to the owner…. And they are still refusing to pay back what they have stolen! Shame on you booking.com, for allowing these fraudsters to continue stealing from people trusting bookings through your service! Unfortunately for me I thought it was 3 out of 5 star rating…. Not out of 10…. So I bypassed looking at the reviews….. I cans deal with a three star stay….. when it’s a standard three star. Please please please do not book here! The listing should be listed as “parties welcome”. Because I would have rented something like this in my 20’s for a good piss up after the pubs! There should be a negative star rating available!

"W ciągu kilkudziesięciu lat czegoś tak okropnego nie doświadczyłem!"

Jedynie lokalizacja (blisko centrum) i obszernie w środku, reszta poniżej krytyki. Myślałem, że będzie widok na zamek, lecz można było zobaczyć tylko rupieciarnię na tarasie i mury sąsiedniego budynku, ale też niedokładnie, bo okna były do połowy zamalowane. Mogę przesłać zdjęcia - mam ich kilkanście, żebyście mogli ocenić sami stan tego "apartamentu", który jest zwykłą norą! W hostelu jest dużo lepiej! Jestem bardzo zawiedziony!

Prawie wszystko jest do naprawy i do poprawy - nie nadaje się do wynajęcia. Wybita szyba - (wstawiony biały plastik), prysznic i wntylator w łazience nie działa, lampa prawie urwana, muszla klozetowa nie przykręcona (mieliśmy we wtorek rano powódż) Rozsypujące się i brudne szafki, brak tv i Wi Fi, nieumyte okna i szafki po malowaniu, brak garnków, kabel anteny nie sięga telewizora, brak kloszy,nie działa domofon, lustro w sypialni oparte o ścianę i do tego nie działające ogrzewanie. Jak wam nie jest wstyd przyjmować takie ogłoszenie? Za taką cenę? Za takie warunki? Powinniście zwrócić co najmniej połowę pieniędzy!!!

Dear [Owner/Manager/Platform Support Team], I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding my recent booking of the house for rent from [31-Dec-2025] to [1-Jan-2026]. When I arrived at the location, it was very difficult to access. There were no clear directions, and it took me around 30–40 minutes to find the place. This caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. After finally entering the house, I was very disappointed with the condition. The house was extremely dusty and clearly not cleaned before our arrival. Additionally, there were already other people inside the house, which was completely unacceptable as the booking was supposed to be private. Furthermore, the heaters were not working at all, which made the stay very uncomfortable, especially considering the weather. Due to these issues—poor location access, lack of cleanliness, presence of other people, and non-working heaters—the stay did not meet basic expectations or the description provided at the time of booking. I kindly request that you look into this matter seriously and provide an appropriate resolution, such as a refund
