Beautiful place to stay in a fantastic location. The extra touches of the hamper and breakfast were lovely and the flowers and decor were all enchanting - would highly recommend ☺️

Beautiful cosy little cottage, immaculately clean. Fabulous location. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Hosts went above and beyond in providing a personalised welcome basket, so very thoughtful. The welcome was the warmest we have received to date.

Ropewalk cottage is beautifully decorated, extremely well equipped for the perfect relaxing getaway. On our arrival there was a beautiful welcome basket full of goodies plus milk, butter, cans of drinks, fresh orange juice plus a fully equipped kitchen with everything you could need to cook any meal you choose.

I honestly can’t think of anything that I didn’t like or that I would change.

Ropewalk Cottage truly is a little gem - hidden away off the busier streets of Portaferry, it was very quiet and peaceful. Brendan and Anne have put a lot of thought and love into making this one room cottage homely and equipped with everything in it that you could possibly want. If you wish to cook a full meal you can - as it was we only made breakfasts there and visited the local Portaferry Hotel for dinners. There is so much to see in this area that it's a great place to use as a base whilst you travel around, but you could also easily spend a day relaxing in the cottage. We will definitely stay here if we are ever in the area again.

A perfectly located little gem situated close to amenities in Portaferry. An amazing welcome tray which was most appreciated. The cottage is cosy and beautifully decorated. Plenty of interesting books and magazines to read. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay...many thanks!
