Palacete Chafariz Del Rei - by Unlock Hotels

Our 1st time in Lisbon and the Palacete was one of the highlights. Not only the hotel itself and it's beauty but the staff were outstanding in every possible way! They exceeded our expectations!! Our superior suite with our own chapel, was amazing and so very special. We felt and were treated like royalty.

A wonderful hidden gem of a place in the old Alfama district. The hotel is an old family home and is beautifully decorated in the style of the 1910's with many original art nouveau style features. Staff were exceptional and no request was too small to make our visit perfect.

Nothing to dislike but be aware that the district is old with a maze of tiny winding streets, very steep alleys and small shops and bars. A maze of electricity wires over head and lots of digging up of the drains. It is not a fancy looking place, it is a real place where real people live. If you want fancy tree lined boulevards and Armani/Gucci shops then this is not that area. However the hotel could hold its head high above any cookie cutter chain where "service" looks like remembering your name in order to get a tip.

Unique and timewarpy hotel, perfect location, stunning views, extremely nice and helpful staff. Breakfast is wonderful, as is everything else. The most beautiful hotel in Lisbon.
