Terrible WiFi issues

The location was good and the staff were helpful.

The description of the hotel rooms is not accurate. There was nothing luxurious about the basic small rooms available at the hotel. The cost through booking.com is much higher than if booked directly via the hotel reception, which is unfair for booking.com customers. Our request for twin-beds was confirmed but not available on arrival. The triple rooms are not really triple as there is NO space to allow for even a mattress in the room let alone a 3rd bed. Although the hotel was supposed to be 'free cancellation', the confirmation from the hotel stated that there was no option for cancellations. UK credit cards are not accepted for payment of the 50% deposit via booking.com website and the hotel requires full payment before start of stay.

Location is great. Food in rooftop restaurant is nice.

Communication prior to arrival whilst trying to arrange an airport transfer was poor.

It is a very atmospheric place with a traditional decor. The shower is perfect! The best thing about this hotel is the location, very close to all the places of interest. We thought it might be a chaotic place being so close to the ghats, but actually it is very calm and quiet inside. Overall we found it clean and comfortable.

The bed is super hard, almost like sleeping on a table.

Well located near one of the main Ghats so commuting to/fro by autos or boats is easy. Room was clean with all basic conveniences and adequately sized (about 170 sft plus en suite bathroom of about 30 sft) for travellers who are going to be out and about most of the time

Mr Ajay Singh in Reservations had a curt and indifferent manner that made us apprehensive initially but fortunately all the Front Desk and Housekeeping staff were warm and helpful. Breakfast ticks many boxes but is average in taste and ambiance. Do keep in mind that Assi Ghat is at one end of the riverfront
