The Beech Flat - Self contained one bedroom flat with parking

The apartment has everything you need. It was clean and the bed was very comfy. The parking space was a bonus. It is within walking distance to the shops and cafes in Headington and buses for getting into Oxford city centre.

My only negative is that the apartment was cold when I arrived (7pm). I managed to put the heating on in the living area and bedroom, which didn’t take long to warm up, but not the bathroom. I should have contacted the host but as it was late in the day and I was only there for one night I didn’t bother.

The location was ideal for me, busses are very easy into the city centre. The place feels very safe and private, with good security measures, which was important for me as a solo traveller. The hosts were helpful when I contacted them for things. Bed was comfy. There is a parking space too which is really helpful.

It wasn't particularly clean when I arrived - muddy footprints in the shower, floors needed a good sweep. Sheets on the bed looked old/stained. It is also quite cold! The heaters only run for a couple of hours at the time and I woke up freezing. One of the plug sockets looks dodgy. Would really benefit from a 'welcome pack' to say how to get fresh towels, or what to do with rubbish etc - I had to message the hosts to find out (who were friendly and helpful). I stayed for a month, so it would have been nice to have sheets changed at some point, and a hoover or dust pan and brush to help keep the floors clean.
