The Corner Rooms at The Black Horse Inn

The whole setting was great from start to finish, Monika and her staff made the stay the best experience and the food was excellent! Bus stop at door so didn't need to drive which is always a bonus when on a break!

Stairs were awfy steep, this is not a gripe, excellent place to stay!

I love this hotel, the rooms are spotless the beds and pillow's are so comfortable plus its round the corner from our family members we come to visit. This was our 2nd visit and we will be booking again next year and recommending to friends and family. Well done to the owners on the very modern and comfy rooms 👏

We booked 2 rooms and they were both clean and comfortable and provided everything we needed. Easy access into Durham and on main bus route which was handy.

Squeaky door at top of the stairs.

Really friendly helpful staff , we got in very early after a long drive and lovely lady in pub gave us key so we could use room as soon as we were back. Bed’s comfortable and the room refurbished recently so clean. Parking good.

Room was warm (luckily fan provided but using it = noise and my daughter sharing with me found it too loud). Shower takes some getting used to for water temperature balance, it is signed posted but went to boiling hot really quickly so caution needed. The reviews on food were amazing but sadly that wasn’t our experience. Staff in restaurant lovely but food quality was not great , we were visiting Durham and wished we had stayed there for dinner.
